:)

Glad, to hear that you [and Tom] are feeling 'better' and accomplishing stuff
I do 'know' how low, our feeling 'out of sorts', can bring us
But, everything 'passes'.... in it's season

I think today's temps peeked, at 8.C from @ 6.C
but remaining wet with occasional light showers

Early, yesterday morning, we had just 2.C outdoors
Woolly tops and overcoats weather ..... brrrrrrr :shiver:

Oh yes, I remember how much you enjoy 'fog' :)
I recall when I was a small child, taking my younger siblings to school
through some really thick "peasoupers"
in which, you couldn't see anyone, just three steps away from you
Mind you, road traffic was, much-less than it presently-is

The Phillipines, are and have, been having a really tough time
We can, do little but, give it to God to deal with
:prayer:

I have-to get off to bed now ...rest well when your 'time' comes

Hello all,

I was working at the charity shop this morning and this afternoon had a couple of visitors. It's been a nice, bright day here. Son's Special Olympics basketball club meets tonight, but I don't know if he'll be going.

Blessings to all,

Gillian

Hello Everyone,

I'm doing some better, but I'm still fighting allergies and sinus. However, I'm not complaining, rather thankful.

The weather here has been gorgeous, but we have had frequent winds. We just might get our first freeze day after tomorrow.

Everyone have a great week.

Thanks Dave, I feel considerably better today...did get out for groceries. It is warm here...sunny and low 80's....

Happy to hear you both are feeling better :)

Our weather is on a roller coaster ride ~ warm last week, cold with snow today, then warmth is coming back after tomorrow.

Hello all,

How is everyone doing? I am OK, been working with Laddie, but have not gotten too far, my left knee and right heel have been hurting, so, it makes walking hard.

Been having lovely weather here, some days have been really cold, as have the nights. I have to keep reminding myself that Christmas is a month away. Mercy.

Love ya all
Susie

Hi everyone. Haven't been in this forum in awhile. I often hang out in the blessings exchange. There are a few fellowships going on there now. I need to remember to visit this section of CF. I am so forgetful any more. God bless you all.

Hi everyone....
I have a sort of busy day...been helping hubby take his truck in for smog inspection...get my haircut at noon...Gracie gets her shot at 3pm...then picking up hubby and his truck at the shop.

Very easy, happy, normal life errands...and I feel well enough to enjoy them.

Been reading more in my Bible again...always feeds my soul.

Glad we're all well and happy. My son works in Lowe's appliances and found me a front-loading washer at a fraction of the cost. So, now I can once again do laundry for myself when I choose. Such a mundane, but normal task.
Hi Marsha
What a wonderful blessing; I am happy for you!

I managed to paint the wallpapered wall yesterday
but not everything went 'to-plan'

I couldn't find any BURGUNDY emulsion
so, I plumped-for a near-miss called Morello <<
a little more RED than the name of the colour ^^ [above]
Upon application of the 2.5 litres of paint, to the wall
I found, that here and there
the pale whiteness of the paper peeped through
and today I returned to the store for yet-another 2.5 litres

I had hoped to apply that over the first coat this afternoon
but my delivery of a birthday card to Toni [Mary's Granddaughter]
whom also, calls me Granddad... took rather longer than expected
and I have postponed that job until tomorrow [Friday]

I hear Mary saying...
"don't try to do too much at-once"
&
"you can do some-more tomorrow"

I 'surrender'..... tomorrow it is ;) [God willing!!!]

:)

Can I ask why you are painting OVER the wallpaper?
At first I thought that was what you meant, but then decided you were painting the other 3 walls, UNTIL you posted the paint didn't cover it.

Doesn't the moisture un-glue the paper...or is this some new technique I obviously have no idea about? ^_^

Good for Mary keeping an eye on you

I will try to explain this dilemma Gail Sis'

We bought this paper for it's Base-texture [pattern]
so, that we could choose our own colour for it

1466164_10152010243004704_773559817_n.jpg

1472772_10152010242749704_1703923976_n.jpg

The 'paint purchased' was sufficient to cover the wall [just]
but left areas that needed further coverage

1391439_10152010242794704_1039644283_n.jpg

994957_10152010244499704_1950829694_n.jpg

1460267_10152010244804704_1362413279_n.jpg

So, I needed to buy yet more paint
to obtain the finish we required

ETA:

The paint, although water-based..... quickly 'dries' to form a vinyl skin
which is, wipe-cleaned with a damp cloth
The adhesive I used, was for heavier papers and is very strong indeed

The ad' for the adhesive paste
shows a man dressed in a one-piece 'overall' [boiler suit]
pasted to a wallboard that is hanging from a helicopter [in flight]
to underline how-reliable the paste is LOL....

okay, but I wouldn't have the nerve to test it in such a manner :p
