To all of you who do not know where Fiji is, here where it is.

is an island country in Melanesia in the South Pacific Ocean about 1,100 nautical miles (2,000 km; 1,300 mi) northeast of New Zealand's North Island. Its closest neighbours are Vanuatu to the west, New Caledonia to the southwest, New Zealand's Kermadec Islands to the southeast, Tonga to the east, the Samoas and France's Wallis and Futuna to the northeast, and Tuvalu to the north.

This is our traditional clothing.

There are a lot of mixed cultures from all over the world that lives in Fiji but I just like to show you where I am from. ROTUMA !!!

Most of the Fijian foods are cooked in earth-ovens. Here is what it looks like.

There are actually 14 provinces that make up the country. These 14 provinces has a little bit of culture differences. The language they speak are totally different.

As obvious a promotion as this is, I was lucky enough to visit Fiji when I was younger (I did a round-the-world thing), and it is every bit as beautiful as the OP suggests. And Fijians are some of the friendliest people on the planet. It's not even that hard to get to from the south west US
