Obviously by life I meant human life, but you raise a good question. I'm a very PC person, so I need to make sure I'm not associating with a bigot here. Does your idea that life has meaning apply to all life or just human? Does a cockroach or a bacterium's life have meaning? Why or why not?

No He wasn't designed, but He's the ground and source of meaning. It's like asking if light is luminous.

My favourite analogy is the wolf pack; why don't the adult wolves eat their pups? Do they find more meaning in feeding them and protecting them than they do in a quick meal?

You were a determinist, now you're a free willer extending free will even to animals? And you're saying a meal can have meaning? Does the later excretion of the meal have meaning too?

All we agree on is that there are beings capable of contemplation. Due to that, these same beings are also capable of imagination and fiction. One, we have no way of knowing whether roaches are the same, and two, even if they're not capable of contemplating their meaning, meaning could still exist for them. Physics still exist for them even though they may or may not be able to contemplate physics. So yes or no?
