Anti-oxidants- An antioxidant is a molecule capable of inhibiting! the oxidation of other molecules.
over 40?, your body's not making them, so here are most vital of sev. 100:
--> Beta-carotene, Ascorbic acid,
--> Cryptoxanthin, Lutein, Lycopene, Zeaxanthin, & groups such as -
--> (flavonoids like Resveratrol),
--> (isoflavones like Genistein), --> ALL Minerals: (Selenium & Zinc the most powerful antioxidants),
--> genus Allium: (garlic, onions, shallots, and leeks),
--> indoles & sulforaphane (Cruciferous... veggies with BROCCOLI, & cabbage the best)
--> other potent anti-oxidants include: Bilberry (aka European blueberry),
--> Coenzyme-Q10, aka ubiquinone, since it is present in every living cell.
--> Ginkgo Biloba
--> Glutathione - produced in the liver from amino acids.
--> Lipoic acid, made in the body, is sometimes called the universal antioxidant, because while it has its own functions, it can also do other Anti-oxidant jobs temporarily.
--> Melatonin - hormone produced by the brains pineal gland during sleep, and helps maintain the bodys natural bio-rhythm.
--> Superoxide dismutase is an enzyme which helps the body use essential copper, manganese & zinc; & revitalizes Skin-cells. Eat BROCCOLI
