Paul ~a beloved and dear dear man of God who ran the race, no matter what, and was actually a missionary to the Gentiles, isn't that AWESOME? It's INCREDIBLE that God chose and used this man for such a mission.

X-tra Gracious Rahab ~she was courageous, risking her own life to help Joshua's two spies....she was a prostitute who lived in Jericho in the Promised Land and assisted the Israelites in capturing the city. In essence she "laid her life down" (she was willing to die) for the God of Israel. How precious is that? Apparently God thought it was too.

Zephaniah ~Known as "The Royal Prophet", prophesied about 625 B.C. which makes him a contemporary of Jeremiah. The unusual thing about Zephaniah is his ancestry. He is of the royal line of Judah, and more specifically of the house of David. His great-great grandfather was Hezekiah, one of Judah's most righteous kings.

One of my fav'rite verses from the book of Zephaniah:

"The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing." ~Zephaniah 3:17

Boaz ~ He was a dear dear man of God, and a very wealthy man who lived in Bethlehem. When Naomi returned to Bethlehem with her widowed daughter-in-law, Ruth, Ruth went into the fields of Boaz to glean. Boaz learned that Ruth's deceased husband was a distant relative of his. He was gracious, kind, and generous to Ruth. What un-folded was a beautiful love story and they married.

Dathan ~An Israelite mentioned in the Old Testament as a participant of the Exodus. He was a son of Eliab, the son of Pallu, the son of Reuben. Together with his brother Abiram, the Levite Korah and others, he rebelled against Moses and Aaron. Numbers relates that, "the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up, and their houses." -Numbers 16:31)

Whoa! what a foolish thing to rebel against God so blatantly.....maybe this is what is meant as "stiff-necked"
