King Josiah instituted religious reforms and convoked a Passover celebration in 621 BCE, which was the greatest to be celebrated before the fall of Jerusalem. After his death a series of apostate kings ruled in Judah, reintroducing idol worship.
Jeremiah would address both the faithful and those fallen away through his messages.

In SDA circles the topic of the day is whether we are Philadelphia or Laodicea, the assumption being that's either one or the other.
The OT tells us that both happened at the same time, Jesus talked about wheat and tares, only to be separated by the Angels in the last days.

I don't know where you come up with the Philadelphia church assertion. Laodicea is the end time church period as it is the last period.
