See if this link will work for you.

Thank you. I sincerely appreciate this.

It's an informative article. However, I didn't see named sources for those Donald Trump quotes.

That article is hidden behind a paywall. Does that article give names of people who are suggesting the assertion, or are they still unnamed sources?
They are granted anonymity.

Asked oil executives for a billion dollars directly to his campaign in exchange for specific executive orders for him to execute upon election.

I mean, I know Biden told a story about his family lore and that's reason to question his ability to be president.

But I wonder if having a bought and paid for president like this may also not exactly be ..."awesome" for the US.

Or are we going to continue pretending that Biden and Trump are "both equally unscrupulous?
Isn't that the way politics works in USA?
Prospective presidents have meetings with groups of influential elites, promise certain favourable policies and they then donate to the election cause?

Only for, say, 245 years or so.
In Lincoln’s time patronage was already a time-honored tradition, it fell out of fashion but seems to be making a comeback of the “supply-side” (of all things)!

Which is it?
Both, we export oil and import it, probably by the same companies ((who probably move it to one tank in the USA to another tank in the USA and both the buyer and the seller are happy.))

It's not really export or importing if you sell it from one place in your country to another.

Which is it?
Both. We are a net exporter of oil, but the oil we import is for the most part a different type than the stuff we export. So even if we were to stop exporting oil, the amount we imported wouldn't change appreciably, because we can't use it. That's why we can produce enough energy to be a net exporter and still not be energy-independent.

We export oil already.
Exporting oil means we sell oil to others -

Oil independence means we produce enough oil that we produce enough to not need to purchase from others.

Ever notice that Biden used much of the strategic oil reserve right before elections - then has never re-filled it like he promised.

And we have never gotten there because the oil we export is not the same type as the oil we import.

This writer is totally ignorant of how the oil market functions and if others take his bloviating cereal, well then…

Who? Who isn't ?
The system is mixed up, topsy turvy, indiscernable in motive(s) and in result(s) - a lot of bad results in the news. Any good results ? Politicians have almost never been known to be honest and helpful.
Dictators in history have been known to usually be mean, but one or two or so were very good and helpful for the people....
Democracy ? Very mixed results, not so much good.

What is curious to me is whether those people would trust Trump around their daughters.
Well, are you curious about if people would trust their daughters around pastors or priests ? ?
Or actors or actresses from hollywood ? (very notorious sesxual deviants)

And we have never gotten there because the oil we export is not the same type as the oil we import.
A century ago the usa had the capability to be and remain totally free from foreign oil.
Moneymongers did not let that happen.
So ?
