FIRST ON FOX: Rep. Cory Mills, R-Fla., is preparing impeachment articles against President Biden over his threat to halt U.S. offensive aid to Israel, the first-term lawmaker told Fox News Digital on Thursday.

Mills accused Biden of forcing Israel into a "quid pro quo" situation by leveraging U.S. dollars against the Israeli government's actions in Gaza, drawing parallels to Democrats' first impeachment of former President Trump over his handling of Ukraine aid.

[Note that one quo is "stated US policy on Gaza" and the other quo is "launch bogus investigation of the son of my political rival". What is diplomacy other than "this for that"? But if it's personal benefit rather than for the benefit of the nation, it's corrupt. But don't take my word for it that this is empty baloney.]

‘Where’s The Crime?’ Skeptical Fox Anchor Grills GOP Leader Over Threat to Impeach Biden Over Israel

House Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-LA) appeared on Fox Business to lay out the case as Rep. Cory Mills (R-FL) was reported to be currently “preparing impeachment articles.”

“Congressman, on what grounds would you impeach President Biden?” Varney asked.

SCALISE: Well, if you look at where we are, Stuart, I mean, President Biden is failing on so many different fronts. But if you look at Israel…what he’s done to Israel, walking away there if our strongest ally in the Middle East is disgraceful. You’ve got Democrats even admitting that. Our main objective is to get Israel the support they need to show that we stand with our ally, Israel, even if Joe Biden’s walking away because he is now trying to appease the pro-Hamas wing of his party.

VARNEY: But is it a high crime and misdemeanor to walk away from a big ally? Where’s the crime?

Is the Republican Party even a party at this point? Do they have elected representatives or just elected rubber bands?

Seriously, instead of always trying to "Own da libs" why don't they try governing and improving the lives of Americans? It seems they are only improving the lives of the petulent children who need to see Biden attacked.

We should expect to see an acquittal in this case as well then.

Plus they also have the Republican “you can’t impeach during an election year” excuse.

After all, if the House doesn't try to impeach President Biden again, how else will the Freedom Caucus be able to waste enough time to prevent them from doing something truly productive?

I remember all these types of comments being made from 2018 to 2021.
Me, too--when the impeachable offenses were real--not manufactured, as they are today--and plentiful.
Legislators who make up fake charges are a blight in our government.

All that is the same as what was said back then. It’s a revolving door. Tit for tat. Goose and gander.

Well no. One was actually impeached twice.

No fabrications there.

Folks think it's normal. It's not normal. It's not common. It hasn't happenned. Trump is the first AND only, throughout Anerican history. He is the aberration.

There's just as many who think it was unnecessary and it didn't accomplish anything. All the democrats were for it and virtually all the republicans were against it. This time it would be the republicans for it and the democrats against it. And if it happens nothing will come of it. Probably most people don't even remember what the impeachments were for. We all remember why Clinton got it though.

I'm sorry but really?

First off Israel is an actual treatied ally under U.S. law, passed by Congress long before anyone currently in office even had a position anywhere near Congress.

Second, the treaties we have include defense agreements.

As a result of the attack against Jews in Israel - a declaration of war against the Jewish people like no other - by a people who have as a part of their constitution to kill all the Jews since 2006, Israel went to war in order to remove the threat from their border, a threat posed by the acting regime of their otherwise lovely neighbors.

Just a few short days after a bipartisan Congress approved additional funding to our ally Israel to help support them in this war, Biden decided (after riots broke out on cue - paid for by Bidens best donors according to Politico research) to ruin any chance of a ceasefire with Hamas and a return of the hostages, 5 of whom are American citizens, then acted unilaterally to stop aid shipments from going to Israel in the form of arms support for a war Israel never wanted to be in, that is an existential threat to the people if they lose.

We either have separation of powers or we don't. Biden is either going to faithfully execute his constitutional duties or not.

What Biden has done cannot even come close to being compared with threatening to withhold funds during peacetime in order to compel the Ukrainian government to comply with agreements they made.

Absolutely and 100% different scenario. What Biden has done YOU should be calling for his impeachment because that aid to Israel is the ONLY reason on this planet Congress passed the Ukraine package (which was nearly 5x larger mind you than what was allotted to Israel).

That's what Congress does, we compromise, we come together. You don't speak lies to the voters then act like a dictator accountable to nothing and no one.

Biden doing this is against everything we are as Americans. You don't throw your allies under the bus the second war breaks out, that's not an ally that is an enemy.

True, the words are the same but the actions, which should count, are not. Trump was using the power of his office to withhold funds until a foreign leader gave in to his demands which were for Trump's own, personal benefit while Biden is using the same power to stop the bombing of a civilian population with American bombs. The Maga right are very good at latching onto the words and phrases but terrible at distinguishing between the representing our country's interests with DTJ's personal interests.

The Palestinian civilians in Gaza, mostly women and children, if that matters, are being starved and bombed which is against the Geneva Convention. We the US People are NOT obliged to supply the bombs to kill civilians.

Sometimes we have to listen to a higher call. Netanyahu is practicing off-the-rails genocide, and has been condemned by the UN and the entire free world. He has violated human rights laws established after WWII.

As you rightly surmise, Biden is continuing to provide $18 billion of the $26 billion promised--the part that is targeted for humanitarian assistance. We are still allies with the good people of Israel who are suffering under an evil despotic leader.

And let's face it, Israel has plenty of military power, the best spy operation in the world, plenty of money, and plenty of brilliant scientists. (Just so sad they went to the bottom of the barrel to find their prime minister.)

Partnering in genocide would be unconstitutional.

That last sentence really stood out, because Biden is withholding material support (which was constitutionally authorized by our elected members of Congress) from our closest middle-east ally (a democracy in the middle east) that just underwent a major attack on its people that killed over a thousand innocent Israeli civilians. As a result, the attackers are now getting a break, even as they continue holding hostages (some of which are Americans).
Small wonder Hamas continues holding those hostages. They probably feel more emboldened now that Israel's closest ally is now treating Israel as the bad guys.

Interesting that you say that 3.2 Palestinians in Gaza losing their homes and infrastructure, being driven to a city on the Egyptian border which is completely closed to them, starving and dying of thirst, exposed to disease, and waiting for the death that has hit tens of thousands of their countrymen to surely come.

Aldebaran's dictionary: 3.2 million starved, dehydrated, bombed, driven from their homes, killed to avenge a one-day attack killing 1300 people = Getting a break.
