Hey, thank you. Anyways, I have to get ready for work, and hope that you enjoy your day, brother.

I've got two days of work! Already been to the gym and am trying to sort out my bicycle since it needs a bit of freshening up.

And wow this thread has gone way off topic now.

Haha, agreed. I wish you luck, ad that your bike gets the proper tune up, or work on it. The universe is like a bike, all the parts have to be tuned up, such as the charge of an electron, or the force of gravity. As you are a Deist, and I a Christian, we both believe that God created our universe and tuned it for supporting life, such as us humans.

Does the existence of ugliness in the world disprove the existence of God?
I think some snakes are strikingly beaitiful.

Others are horrified.

I think the picture in question is unrealistic to the point
of stupidity and would get harder and harder to look at.

I figured it's pertinent to Creation because of this mysterious awe that we have when observing beauty. Why do we have that awe?
It appears that it is, to some extent, learned. The romantic view many of us have of mountain scenery, for example, was not commonplace in the past. Mountains were seen as places of desolation and darkness.
I did kind of notice that the horse has no head...
Do you suspect foal play? :)

Just a bit of horse play...

ETA: I'm not proud of this one. It could have been better. But I was stuck between 'horse play' and 'horsing around'.

This already exist in today's existence.

As for the inner experience of "awe", my own personal thought is that evolved as consciousness evolved. One aspect of consciousness is being aware of the sensuous with things like our sight, smell, hearing, feeling, ect. All of which come into play to feed the inner experience of "awe".

That house isn't Swiss. It looks like western American/Canadian.
The comments on the photo state that it is the Grand Tetons, seen either from Wyoming or Idaho. I've been there and it really is that beautiful.

This nebula is also beautiful. God worked wonders. It is 300,000 years old, so relatively young: The Trifid Nebula (M20) Pictures, Facts, Location and Astrophotography

"When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him,
and the son of man that you care for him? Yet you have made him a little lower than the heavenly beings
and crowned him with glory and honor. You have given him dominion over the works of your hands; you have put all things under his feet,”

Psalm 8:3-6

That is a good one. The Psalms are one of my favorite books in the Bible.

Yes, that area is popular for log cabins. You can even rent log cabins out there.

I think the point of the OP is that, no matter how beautiful you think that picture is -- (after all, some things are "pretty as a picture") -- Heaven is going to be much more beautiful.

I've been to both, but it has been a while.
Same here, about 30 years ago. We camped near Jenny Lake in Wyoming. Too cheap to pay for a cabin. One of the best weeks of my life, there and on up into Yellowstone.
