Let me see if Evangelist Joshua has anything on the subject. That's his specialty. I'll post the link if he does. In the meantime, what do you make of it? Do you think it's a sign?

Nothing more than a confirmation of my hatred of places like my house, school, and particular bedroom in the place where I lived for almost six years of my earlier childhood in South Carolina (for various reasons, most of all bad memories, I just associate those places with "Dark" ... for lack of a more understandable term; I think I have a rather unusual psyche when it comes to that kind of thing).

And, I imagine, the only reason the odd but disturbing dream I had a few nights ago of stepping into Canada, only to find that it had become some sort of depraved tyranny based on a love of inhuman things that I do not even want to repeat aloud here, occurred because of my sheer apprehensiveness - along with the excited feeling of adventure - IRL at the thought of moving to another country entirely. Even after nine years now of the notion being in my head, it is only natural that the thought of moving so far away from the life I have always known down here in The South would still be a fearful prospect. That's why with the Spirit's acquiescence I am considering just as much taking more of a half-step towards that goal, by going close to the border with Niagara Falls/Buffalo, NY, and other central northern states like Michigan and Minnesota. Eventually going all the way into Ontario, Canada.

Definitely. God gifted me with the ability to be an introverted "people" person - which sounds silly, but it takes an introvert to travel alone, and a people person to engage with everyone. I seem to have the perfect balance of both.

Ruth demonstrated uncharacteristic love and commitment to her widowed mother-in-law. She wasn't obligated to accompany her but swore to remain by her side no matter what. Most people couldn't imagine a woman making the trip without an escort let alone someone older with greater vulnerability. She gave no consideration to her prospects or what she left behind. Naomi was her lone concern.

The Lord didn't have to nudge Boaz. Her character spoke volumes and that's what attracted him.

They were very wise, I thought.
Honestly Ruth and Boaz are among the most personally admirable characters found in Scripture to me. For those reasons you spoke of and more. Theirs is definitely a love story that I would cheer for. :angel:

We overlook the reality of what Naomi proposed. It would be akin to walking to another state. We'd be on foot for hours and would have to rest outdoors. A man could be set upon in those circumstances and women would face greater dangers. Ruth responded admirably and continued to support her although she wasn't obligated.

She demonstrated chesed. The term is frequently translated as lovingkindness. I covered it several years ago in my quiet time during my stance in prayer for another. I sought biblical examples who made similar sacrifices and she was one of several that I studied.

Much like you I'm fond of the pair. They're a good example of Romans 8:28.

And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose.

Once you've prayed against the dreams you'll want to start pouring prayers into your intentions. This is the method I've referred to as defensive and offensive prayer. You've received the first now here's the second.

Pick up Because You are Living Abroad. Pray through it once per week until the move is done. When stating your country include America and Canada in the prayer.

Pick up Prayers to Buy a Home and Settle Down. Pray through it once per week until the move is done.

Location prayers (book 1) are done first followed by domicile. You'll understand why as you go through the books and address the spiritual elements you're grappling with.

When you move to a different location --a new state, region or country-- you encounter territorial spirits. That's a fancy name for the ruling spirit. Every town, state, region, and nation has one in place.

If you're familiar with the passage in Daniel regarding the prince of Persia hindering Gabriel that's what it's referencing. He was aided by Michael, the prince of Israel.

I experienced something similar when traveling to Boston the first time. When I entered the region I was under attack and we were still in the air. I'd entered another territory and they didn't want me there. I prayed against it and landed safely.

When you carry light you won't be welcome. Don't be afraid the Lord is with you. Pray as I've suggested and you'll be okay.

I don't know if this is situational or something you've wrestled with before? But I think you'll be able to get it underhand now. The move is opening new horizons that would elicit fear and uncertainty as expected. But I sense greater things are in order which might explain events.

I haven't asked what inspired the shift but I recall my suggestion in light of your work. If you followed it the rest makes sense. You needn't go into detail. But suffice to say if you did it my appearance in the dream isn't odd. I didn't want to connect the two without inquiring and addressing the dreams myself in prayer. I've already prayed about the move.

I don't feel a spiritual hindrance -- as in something trying to stop the move -- I sense a settling. If that's the case it will be evident soon enough and I'll give you some resources in preparation. I feel her if that wasn't clear.

@ReesePiece23, I prayed for you as well for safe travels to Japan. The prayers were comprehensive and more involved than 'have a safe trip' and I'm glad you mentioned it. I need to add it to my arsenal.

Bad dreams I have wrestled with nearly all of my life, but even now despite my recent complaints about bad dreams it was WAY worse in terms of frequency as a child between 8 and 14 or so years old. And to be honest, I have a good idea of where that all began ... which is why I despise the memory of my bedroom in South Carolina more than probably any other location I have been to on the entire planet. I even remember spending some nights begging my parents and sister to allow me to keep the door to the hall open and the overhead light on - that they just deal with the intrusiveness of it - to feel more at ease when sleeping in that damned room, and that they not make me settle with having just the light from the closet on (all it did was cast shadows about the room in my imagination that probably made it worse for me than being in complete darkness would have, but of course as a child I was not mature enough to think that and see that total darkness might have been less spooky for me. My parents told me once that they would be heavily startled to hear me just screaming all of a sudden from that room and send them running over, some nights, and I can barely even remember that, which makes me hate the room all the more because it's as though it were so nightmarish to me that I wouldn't even be fully conscious yet as I was waking up screaming from a nightmare.
There are a couple of good memories that took place in that room, but overall it is definitely a "dark" place for me (in the sense that I mean "dark" in my #30764 post above. I don't really know how I can explain myself on that, my association of places where I have lived, worked, etc. with "Light" and "Darkness", but I actually talked about this with my boy Lantis when I went to hang out with him yesterday and inform him of my decision to move).

Anyways, it may be counterproductive for me to talk more on that here, just keeping the visuals of that bedroom in South Carolina and other "dark" places fresh in my memory, but hopefully I said enough so far to help you understand more on my psyche when it comes to places that I hate remembering or being in, and why a particular kind of unpleasant dream or nightmare affects me like this.

You don't have to say anything further on the subject. I'm not a dream expert but I'm conversant enough to understand the spiritual elements related to the problem. I've recommended Soakstream to others and I think you'd benefit immensely by having it on while you rest. It has a calming influence on the environment and your spirit which will aid your rest. I've done it myself and continue to do so as needed.

We'll revisit the subject when you're settled for a permanent remedy. I'll continue to pray on your behalf in the meantime and tell you how to get rid of it when the move is done.

No worries. Things are in motion and it isn't too late.

I'll post a little later and give you the teaching on earth and prayer for open doors. That's what you need right now and you'll have greater clarity. You can follow with prayers for employment and favor once you've done the first. You'll understand the references in books I recommended he broaches the same.

Things move quickly when you deal with the earth that's why I asked. It clears away hindrances. I posted it initially on Dragonfox's thread and included the prayer for marriage. Which would clear away obstacles in that area. If you're shrewd you wouldn't limit it to those places. You'd apply everywhere you need a breakthrough and everything you want to initiate.

Make a list of everything you need to get rid of (overcome) and list the desires of your heart. I don't need to see it. That's your roadmap. I'll show you how to pray it out and pray it in.
