King James Bible
For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made,
even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
What are these invisible things ? Is it;
1. The Aether
2. The Demons
3. The Angels
4. The Firmament
5. The Heavens
6. The Air
7. DNA
8. Our Senses
9. The Foundations Of The Earth
I reckon it is the Aether
The invisible things of Him- an invisible God/Creator.
The creation of the world is clearly seen (the biblical text will indicate if seen can also refer to any of our other senses)
My discredit and commentaries of the list.
1. the Aether is detected by technologies using our senses.
2. the demons are detected by our other senses (how they influence people, like the boy who had a legion of them)
3. the angels are detected by divine grant to discern them apart from our senses, or by our senses.. there is a Bible verse of someone being touched by an angel. And Jacob wrestled with one. Daniel and Mary saw and exchanged a conversation with one.
4. the firmament once was but is no more since Noah's flood. While it was existing there was no rainfall or storms. The firmament around the spherical earth functioned in much the same way as a terrarium. Since the firmament was emptied of it's water God never created another so it's gone now. Just a thin vapor ozone layer is all that remains.. and there is clouds, rainfall and storms.. and a rainbow seen in the sky.
5. Which of the heavens is being spoken of? At any rate we can't see any heavens, only what is in them. The first heavens- clouds, rain, storms, birds, airplanes. The second heavens- the sun, the moon, the stars, the solar planets, the galaxies, comets, asteroids. The third heavens no one can see- where God, saints reside.
6. see #5.
7. DNA. Not invisible just very very very very very small.
8. Our senses. None of them are invisible.
9. The foundations of the earth is a metaphor referring to the creation which God made by invisible things. Referring to foundations as if they were literal sense detectable objects would make them not invisible.
The quote of the heavens that show God's handiwork refers to the sun, moon and stars beyond our atmosphere. The quote that uses the word firmament refers to the thin vapor ozone layer. But the flat earther interprets firmament only according to it's physical status before Noah's flood. That's like a person that got saved but only referring to themselves as a sinner. Not acknowledging any changes that took place.
God created by invisible things.. In both Hebrew (dabar) and Greek (logos) the word translated things is also translatable to words. Words can't be seen when spoken, but they can be heard. Seeing is not believing. Faith comes by hearing. Or not. The reasoning and/or emotions either denying or agreeing with the senses.
