Revelation 21:21-23

Revelation 21:21-23
21 The twelve gates were twelve pearls,
each gate made of a single pearl. The
great street of the city was of pure gold,
like transparent glass.

22 I did not see a temple in the city,
because the Lord God Almighty and the
Lamb are its temple.

23 The city does not need the sun or the
moon to shine on it, for the glory of God
gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp.

I like to imagine Handel's Messiah-kind of
short melodies with a chorus into which I'll
try to fit paraphrases from the Scriptures.
I cannot write/read music sheets, but I enjoy
singing to the Lord like this in my heart.
So, concerning the above Scripture verses...

Of the gates of the City
were made one dozen pearls,
each gate a single pearl. (2x)
The great street shone
of purest, glassy gold. (2x)
So great [is] the splendor
of [the] New Jerusalem,
the Temple to behold (2x)
was none other than the Lord,
the Lord Almighty--and the Lamb! (2x)
Thus, no sun is needed,
nor moon's illumination: (2x)
so glorious, [is] God, (2x)
He is Light and Lamp!
