Psalm 89:15 Blessed are the people who know the joyful sound!
They walk, O Lord, in the light of Your countenance.

[H8643] teruah=great shout

Numbers 23:21 He has not observed iniquity in Jacob,
Nor has He seen wickedness in Israel.
The Lord his God is with him,
And the shout of a King is among them.

Consider the blessing then for the people who know the shout of the King!
This application quickly expands into the authority of a congregation
when wielding the trumpet and the shout during worship.

Psalm 47:5 God has gone up with a shout,
The Lord with the sound of a trumpet.

If a congregation were to raise a shout in unison, what would be that "joyful sound"?
We have been directed by the Lord to look to children!

Matthew 21:
15 But when the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things that He did, and the
children crying out in the temple and saying, “Hosanna to the Son of David!” they were indignant,
16 and said to Him, Do You hear what they are saying?
And Jesus said to them, Yes. Have you never read,

Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants
You have perfected praise?

We have been given a name to call upon to be remembered.
Hosea 12:5 That is, the Lord God of hosts.
The Lord is His memorable name.

This is the formula for memorial and remembrance:
Psalm 50:
14 Offer to God thanksgiving,
And pay your vows to the Most High.
15 Call upon Me on the day of trouble;
I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me.

What is that Name that we can cry out?
Psalm 68:4 Sing to God, sing praises to His name;
Extol Him who rides on the clouds,
By His name Yahu,
And rejoice before Him.

Where is one likely to hear this shout? In a church or synagogue?
Try a playground full of children sliding down a towering slide,
or soaring into the air on a swing!
YAHOO!

The trumpet and the shout!

Psalm 47:5 God has gone up with a shout,
The Lord with the sound of a trumpet.

Joshua 6:5 And it shall come to pass, that when they make a long blast with the ram's horn,
and when ye hear the sound of the trumpet, all the people shall shout with a great shout;
and the wall of the city shall fall down flat,
and the people shall ascend up every man straight before him.

Psalm 24:3 Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord?
Or who may stand in His holy place?

Those who walk in the light of His countenance!
