Luke 14:26 If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children,
brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple.
1 Peter 3:
10 For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile:
11 Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it.
12 For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers:
but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.
How are we to find balance to this Christian life?
Philippians 4:15 Now you Philippians know also that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia,
no church shared with me concerning giving and receiving but you only.
To be a receptacle of God's love, which we 'shed abroad' to those around us, we can live a life of love.
Romans 5:5 And hope has no shame; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit which is given unto us.
Receive wisdom from above, apply to a love of truth, and walk in love.
