Hey I just picked this up on Amazon, it is a new solar battery array, it charges in the sunlight and then you can plug it into your dead cell phone and it will charge it. It is pretty slick, will charge to 60% within 20 minutes. It could save my life if I am ever stranded somewhere with a dead cell! It has 18 Watts of power which is a massive amount for such a small device. It is pretty well built, it weights a few pounds and is waterproof, drop proof, and dust proof, also it has 4 solar arrays that fold out. Pic is below:
I also found this bank online, it is worth $140 but is very nice, if you ever want to pick one of these up that is a nice one this would be just the ticket:
We are in the process of upgrading all our rechargeable batters to where they can be recharged by a solar panel array such as these. I finished making sure all our rechargeable batteries were topped off yesterday. Took me all day with half a dozen chargers.
I just this week bought another 8 rechargeable triple As and a quad of 9 volt. The brand has USB ports right on the battery itself. All you do is plug the USB cord into the battery and from there directly into the output of the array. Have not used them yet, so I cannot vouch for the plugs which always seem to be questionable on USB devices.
