γεννηθέντα is a verb participle that means "to be born" or "to be generated." I don't like the word "begotten" so much. I find it too anthropomorphic in the context of the divine Father and Son. It is okay if you understand "begotten" in the formal biblical sense.And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only-begotten [μονογενῆ noun] Son of God, begotten [γεννηθέντα] of the Father before all worlds (æons), Light of Light, very God of very God, begotten [γεννηθέντα], not made, consubstantial with the Father;
