But, did these people live only to died a physical death again or were they perhaps Jesus's First Fruits offering to the Father?
I'm quite aware that Christ is our First Firsts, as recorded in Scripture, but since it is my understanding that He ascended to the Heavenly Tabernacle on the day of His resurection, might these saints be His offering?

IMO, Peter deals with this in I Peter 3:18-4:6. After His death Jesus simply delivers the captives in Abraham‘s Bosom, Luke 16:19-31. Paul speaks of this in Ephesians 4:8 quoting Psalms 68:18 after Jesus rose from the dead He brought with Him those in Abraham’s bosom. I believe their bodies were just temporary but as stated by the Apostle Paul they are eternally with God in their spirit, II Corinthians 5:6-8; Philippians 1:23. But the New Body is created after Christ and if I understand Philippians 3:21 when compare to I Corinthians 15:27-28 and I John 3:1-3 we all shall be changed at Christ 2nd Coming. Paul seems to state this in I Corinthians 15:51-57.
