I imagine it went something like this.
Mary :
Honey, I have something to tell you.
Joseph :
Speak my precious one.
Mary :
I'm pregnant. I'm going to...
What? You're what? How could you do this to me? What? You are going to bring God into this! What's happened to you...
As Joseph slept, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.
When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home as his wife.
Joseph must have thought to himself : I should have given Mary a chance, instead of getting all mad. Trusting people is hard though.
Maybe Joseph would not have reacted that way. Maybe this is me.
