Blessings brother, I like your profile name, it bears an unfortunate truth for all us followers of Christ, that truth being that we don’t always practice what we preach. No matter how hard we try everyone still fails in one way or another. I’m a dad as well, and there have been times when I didn’t act accordingly to what I teach them. In my opinion the best thing to do if you realize that you’ve done this, is just to talk to them and tell them what you did was wrong. Explain to them why you did whatever it was because there’s usually a reason then tell them what you should’ve done differently. Just because we’re dads doesn’t mean we’re perfect and the people who love us know this and accept us for who we are with our faults and our imperfections. The best we can do is try to be the best we can be and try to learn from our mistakes. We’re never going to be perfect so as a role model the best policy is to admit your mistakes to your kids and teach them that what you did was wrong and why, and by doing that your teaching them to do the best that they can just like their dad does. Just my opinion brother.
