The Catholic Church must continue the ban
on gay weddings because Africa and Asia
are strongly against gay weddings.
This is a Lutheran forum we are guests in.

I'm uncomfortable with the reasoning here, in both cases. Neither decision should be made for marketing purposes. On both issues, churches should decide their policies based on what they perceive to be the morally best choice and the best reflection of God's will for us.
Trying to do a gay wedding in Africa or Asia could cause
political unrest.

Gay weddings are illegal in most of Africa and Asia.

Saint John Paul II was correct for making female alter servers.

The next step should be women priests.
This isn’t about the RCC.

John Paul wasn’t a Lutheran.

Bah, even he did not support that "next step"

Pope John Paul II declared “that the Church has no authority whatsoever to confer priestly ordination on women” *citation

Being an alter server is a stepping stone to becoming a priest.

If you allow girls to be altar severs,
and continue to ban women priests,

then you are blocking your own
altar severs from becoming priests.

Who says? So, as we have known all a long time; the answer is: Don not allow female servers. Period. Nothing to worry about.

Maybe you would be happier as a liberal Lutheran than a Catholic. You seem a very discontented Catholic. Catholics do not have and will not have women priests. Ain't gonna happen. Liberal Lutherans have women ministers already. Not all Lutherans, but the liberal ones like the ELCA.
