So there was a mountain called Mt. Ebal written about in the Bible (Duteronomy 27:12), where 6 tribes of Israel pronounced curses of the law, and the other 6 tribes stood on an opposite mountain to pronounce blessings. Back then people wrote curses on small lead tablets and folded them up.
So Dr. Scott Stripling was sifted through some discarded excavated dirt piles and found a tablet. It is about 1" by 1" and contains the oldest known written Hebrew, and it's from the time when the bible said this is to have happened. They weren't able to open it but they sent it away to have it scanned and discovered the words in Hebrew. They had to take thousands of scans. Supposedly this is one of the biggest discoveries of archaeology ever, and it coincides with the Bible perfectly. Isn't it amazing that God reveals things to unbelievers during a time when they need evidence more than ever?

It does NOT contain the full tetragrammaton so it in no way says the full Name...maybe YeHo or YaHU? It looks to be an abbreviation of The name. Probably not a good thing to use His full Name in a curse...

If you read something about the past, you would expect to find something that backs up what you read.

Thats what this is regarding a story in Deuteronomy about the Israelites and Moses giving them the law. The archaeologists say this could be from that exact account. They are Christian archaeologists.

Supposedly the most important discovery in Israel.
