I am hoping someone could recommend some books on abandonment. So far I have found:

Trustful Surrender to Divine Providence by Father Jean Baptist-Saint-Jure and Bl. Claude de la Colombiere

Abandonment to Divine Providence by Jean Pierre de Caussade

Uniformity with God's Will by St. Alphonsus Liguori

Does anyone know of more books on this subject?

Thanks in advance!

I just read the second on that list and it was quite an inspiration. The only thing bad I would say he apparently says "submit in faith and deed" and then nonresistantly accept all trouble and woe as they are part of providence and God's greater plan. But I think that part of submission, or the Christian life, is to constuctively avoid strife and woe in self defense if possible. Do unto oneself as one would do unto others. The book I am reading now (Therese's "Interior Castle") mentions that we have to seperate ourself from the world and it's "vemomous reptiles" to some degree otherwise we will become ensnared and wounded by its evil nature. This seems to be a more pragmatic approach.
