Name: Waapalaa Povitamun
Race: Foxifera
Age: 23
Sex: Female
Height: 145 cm (4’ 9”)
Weight: 40 kg (88 lbs)

Appearance: A diminutive woman, it would be easy to overlook Waapalaa if you were much taller than her. Her skin pale in color, and eyes of a light brown color can be seen above a somewhat pointed nose. Her lips are a light pink in color, and if she were to smile eyeteeth that were sharper and longer than the average would be able to be seen. Of course if one to look at the other traits that clearly defined her as one of the Foxifera, such a sight would not be as surprising. Long, copper red hair falls down to her waste, a strand of hair decorated with beads and feathers the only remnant of her past life. And with the absence of the usual set of ears she instead possesses a pair of dog-like ears, rising from the back of her head, covered with copper red fur save at the tips, which are covered with black fur. And in place of finger nails instead are white, and slightly curved claws. And extending from the base of her spine, a bushy, copper red tail swishes about, its tip also covered in black fur. She wears a simple woven robe of a light blue, the garment having no openings save for its long, billowing sleeves, the neckline, and the bottom. For all purposes it looks like it could be a dress, due to a simple sash tied around the waist and its length, which hides a majority of her tail from view although the tip may still be seen if you look closely. Beneath this garb she also wears the traditional garb of her old tribe, a minimal garb covering very little of the figure, designed completely for ease of movement and speed.

Personality: An obstinate person, Waapalaa is resistant to anyone else's ideas but her own. She is also extremely selfish and greedy individual, seeking only to bring herself personal gain and only caring for herself. However, Waapalaa can also be a very kind person in spite of these aspects, friendly to others around her. She talks to anyone that will listen, and loves to listen to stories. She also has an inability to pay attention to things for a long period of time unless they hold her rapt attention (Can anyone say ADD?). She has a soft spot for sweets, children, and lonely people.

Background: Waapalaa was born into a tribe of "wild" Foxifera, born in the midst of a great forest. It was in this forest that Waapalaa's tribe worshipped their god, Tattuye, who had created the Foxifera and who brought the four seasons in their time. The tribe believed that they lived and died by the will of Tattuye, and that any ill that fell upon the tribe was a result of his disfavor, and so they would offer a multitude of sacrifices to him at these times. It was also believed that above all Tattuye favored those who were clever above all, and so the tribe strove to teach those born into the tribe to be clever in all things.

And it was from this belief that the "Anthua" stemmed from, a trial of all of the Foxifera kits to test their cleverness from the tender age of seven to eleven. Four years entirely devoted to struggling for one's life on their own. It was believed that those who survived were blessed by the favor of Tattuye while any that failed were brought back to Tattuye, who would send them back again when he found their spirit ready. And so, while the kits lived in the village with their parents and tribe members, they were denied help by any of them, having to scavenge or pillage on their own.

After completing her "Anthua" Waapalaa began to question Tattuye and the tribe. For years she pondered over Tattuye's value of cleverness, and finally held it firmly in her mind that if Tattuye valued cleverness above all then she should leave the tribe, because while the tribe and to struggle every day for its survival she knew that there were other places where survival was not so difficult. And would it not be more clever to live an easy life than to scrape along like they had done for so long?

Bringing this before her tribes elders and shaman she questioned them as to why they did not do this and they replied angrily, spouting many words but never giving her an answer that she could accept as an answer. Leaving the group with anger visible upon her face Waapalaa marched to the edge of the tribe's small village, and then to the edge of the forest, and still she kept marching, fury driving her from her old home. She began to create a new life for herself as a tinkerer, travelling from place to place and enjoying the new experiences, even if he met with prejudice at some places for her race. She even discovered the wonder of sweets!
