I think Trump was referring to this verse

Exodus 21:23-25​

But if there is harm, then you shall pay life for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, burn for burn, wound for wound, stripe for stripe.

I presume he wants to give the impression that he is strong.



Trump made the revelation during an interview with conservative radio host Bob Lonsberry on WHAM 1180 AM in Rochester, New York, who asked the real estate mogul-turned-presidential, if he had a favorite Bible verse or story that "informed" his thinking or character.

"Well, I think many," Trump responded. "I mean, when we get into the Bible, I think many, so many. And some people, look, an 'eye for an eye,' you can almost say that. That's not a particularly nice thing."


Trump, who is Presbyterian, said the country has to be strong in defending itself.

"I mean, when you see what's going on with our country, how people are taking advantage of us, and how they scoff at us and laugh at us. We have to be very firm and have to be very strong."

Remember Trump doesn't read, so his writing is pretty crude too. And Biden clearly has a better grasp of Christian thought. Trump kinda lost his focus and drifted off into thoughts of entitlement and revenge.

More precisely, from the pandemic, according to economists. But given that Trump was the one who botched the pandemic response, it's his baby.


Pence took some of that home with him, too. But notice that when Trump stole huge amounts of classified documents, and then lied to the government about what he had, Pence and Biden did some quick checking. I suppose Obama did, too. And when they found some things, they contacted authorities and turned it over. If Trump had done the same thing as Pence and Biden did, he wouldn't be facing years in prison.

I voted for Trump but now all I've seen since 2020 is Trump idolatry and it's sickening. Sadly, many professing Christians are guilty of this and I will stand apart from such madness, and proclaim Jesus Christ as Lord and the only real solution for any nations ills.

I do not mean everyone. I would be considered a constitutional conservative too. I am talking about people, not necessarily Christian, or maybe not truly born again, as I said professing - that feel Trump is THE solution for all the nations ills. And I'll be first to admit, he could turn some things around. However, with the nation so polarized, we could also have lots of civil unrest like in 2020, mainly started by the left, as it was then. I think America has come to a point where she's on that last slide into judgment no matter who is President.
There is also the matter of spending far more time in politics than in the Bible, so that politics consumes people, and political anger results when things don't go their way. When something takes a persons devotion more than God, or before God, that does become idolatry. I'm not actually suggesting someone is bowing to statues of Trump, though there might be a few people actually do that, idk.

The key is, if Pence and Biden hadn't returned them promptly and if they had lied to the FBI about having them as Trump lied, they'd have been indicted as well. All Trump had to do was return the many documents he stole, and he wouldn't have been indicted. When he lied about it, and tried to keep the documents, that brought him down.

Correct. We do know that Joe Biden stole classified material, and revealed classified information to his ghost writer. Joe received millions for the book. The FBI tampered with evidence and those responsible need to be held accountable.

I am very confidently predicting that Donald Trump will either be acquitted or declared not guilty by the judge and jury that will eventually oversee this Presidential records trial.
