Hi Guys,

It's England, lots of sunshine, Wimbledon is in full swing, Glastonbury is sloshing around in the mud, and there has been some amazing storms...off and on...in fact pretty typical for summer .

The Lord sure has a sense of humour when it comes to weather in England


Psalm 135:7

7 He makes clouds rise from the ends of the earth;
he sends lightning with the rain

sounds like our weather rain and rain and rain but the next day we got sun and hot weather tanning myself

weather in all of Europe is getying alike England's

Yup, we had a storm here earlier, but it wasn't too bad.

It rained very heavily yesterday though. It was awesome!

Had a great few days in the mountains of Snowdonia, glad to be home even so...we had to water the garden! all this sunshine!

...yes, we will be back there in a couple of weeks, the scenary is beautiful...

Yes Guus, it is a nice little place to retreat to, rest and then come back refreshed...

(or bitten all over with the Welsh mosquitos) ! not too bad at the moment...August is really bad if I forget the mosquito spray.

I'd love to have an place to retreat to. right now life is hectic and a great stressful thing I'm starting to get afraid of.

Well Guus, I know how you feel;

then I read the psalms, it is a spiritual pilgrimage...life that is, I walk with God. Jesus said 'I am the way' walking the way. all these problems, stress, mountains to climb, is a pretty good description of the Christians progress ...a pilgrimage and we will grow in character, mind and heart. It is hard work sometimes.
Here is a good support along the way. One I am using this week;

psalm 40 verse 8
I desire to do your will, O my God,
your law is within my heart.

I learn the psalm number and verse first; (psalm 40 verse 8)
then the words.
I desire to do your will, O my God,
your law is within my heart.

and then I say it at different times during the day, when I think of it, quite a lot, until it sinks deep down into my soul.

psalm 40 has helped me this week. My best friend is having chemotherapy, we are praying for a miracle as the cancer has spread all over and without a miracle she may die.

Oh dear, now about that hot black coffee and a large plate of doughnuts... and we will thank the Lord because he knows and cares for us so much.

...just called by for a coffee...although I hear...the beverage of choice is in the morning appears to be for some people... A hot cup of cocoa; it’s the healthy version that does the same job as coffee but with more health benefits. Plus, I hear hot cocoa has a superior taste to coffee. Oh yea?

And, yes, cocoa powder does contain caffeine, but not as much as coffee. So I will try it in the morning...starting with the virtual?

now one of these would be really nice...a mocha brownie with coffee frosting plenty for everyone,
