The currently elected Hindu Nationalist party called the BJP in India usually bullies other racial, religious and/or ethnoreligious minorities. It's Not as bad as how Islamic nations treat their minorities, but it's still Not great. Essentially, it's a matter of degree. In any case, the Hindu Nationalist party called the BJP also has undermined a lot of the other branches of government. Furthermore, the opposition parties in the legislative branch have done poorly in the elections, and so there is No really strong challenger in the legislative branch. However, India's Supreme Court has in certain cases taken on a role of the last line of defense against the ruling BJP party. Therefore, the recent court ruling where they rejected the how the BJP raises money for political funding of campaigns is a rare challenge on the BJP party so it's good.
