Five years after the fire that ravaged Notre Dame of Paris, the cathedral's fully restored interior is revealed a bit more in all its splendor every day.

What splendor! The patient work of the hundreds of craftsmen who have been toiling for months in the heart of Notre Dame de Paris will soon be on display for the whole world to admire. Five years after the terrible fire that ravaged its wooden ceiling structure and damaged its splendid Gothic decorations, the cathedral is beginning to reveal itself in all its splendor to the privileged few who are able to enter, six months before its reopening.

I'm gonna say this: Amen. :) I remember hearing in 2019 about the news about the fire, and that it would take until the 2020s decade for the Notre Dame to be repaired. That day will finally be here in 6 months.

I remember sitting in a doctor’s office with my mother in law and seeing it on TV. It was awful. Then there were certain Muslims that were celebrating the fire. Strange how certain events stick with you.

Wow, that is sad. Muslims are supposed to be peaceful. Well hey, there are bad apples in every religion. But yes, the fire was awful. I remember my dad was reading about this on his iPad, and the NYT even had an article about the. 2019 was not a good year for the world, or for myself.

Islam means submission to God last I read. In Arabic it could mean both peace and submission I believe.

Yeah, which is why I find it odd why some Muslims are so militant. Same thing happened with Waco, TX.

From my Bible analysis: The Waco Cult, also known as the Branch Davidians, infamously violated Ephesians 4:31-32 and Matthew 26:52 through their acts of violence and their belief in using force as a means to defend their beliefs. The Branch Davidians, led by David Koresh, believed they were preparing for an end-time battle and stockpiled weapons. Their belief system led them to engage in violent conflicts with law enforcement agencies, resulting in the tragic events at their compound in Waco, Texas, in 1993. Their actions were a clear violation of Ephesians call to put away negative emotions, such as anger and wrath, and instead be kind and forgiving towards others. Their use of weapons also contradicted Jesus' command in Matthew 26 to put away the sword and not resort to violence.

Ephesians 4:31-32 (ESV): "Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you."

Matthew 26:52 (ESV): "Then Jesus said to him, “Put your sword back into its place. For all who take the sword will perish by the sword."
