fall is coming, Church is going to have holiday events to attend and bonfire bible studies... why miss them because you are sick?

Daily maintenance:
-take a good multivitamin. I'd recommend a liquid one.
it gets through your intestines and absorbs much better than a "horse pill".
-take a good D supplement. like fish oil.
-take a good B supplement for energy.
-buy an herbal product called "de-cold", $39 on Amazon.com and take one a day.
-take a good priobiotic daily.

Onset of cold symptoms:
-take decold 2-3 times a day
-take an echinacea-goldenseal capsule twice a day
-eat candied ginger or drink ginger tea
-take 1 tbsp of apple cider vinegar in the morning and again at night

If the cold gets worse anyway
-up the dosages of all that
-include mucinex
-take acetaminaphen for the pain/fever if you have to

if it's the flu
-take all that plus Occillococcinum, an herbal flu rememdy that's now available at small health food stores and major grocery stores.

if it turns out to be a stubborn sinus infection
-take colloidal silver and alot higher doses of echinacea

if it gets in your chest and those things are all managing it but not defeating it,
-go get a z-pack at the doctor. but antibiotics should be your last resort.

I used to be sick all the time, but started drinking a kale and blackberry smoothie every morning and ever since then I've been sick only a couple times and it's only lasted a few days. I've been doing it now for 3 years. I grow my own kale and pick blackberries while their in season and freeze them so it's all free.

Well, some people just have a good immune system. As for the rest of us,
Vitamin C isn't really all that effective against bad bugs. It helps some, but it only lasts in your system for a few hours before it needs to be boosted again and it isn't a replacement for a more complete immune boosting regime.
To function fully and be able to fight off all the bad bugs, you need to be sure your multivitamin is getting absorbed properly. this can be done with blood testing but really if you have any intestinal issues (i do) then most likely it's not getting through all the way. that's why I opted for a liquid one, called Intramax.
You need to get a good dose of D vitamins if you aren't getting in the sun all the time (i work in an office 9-5), B vitamins for energy, C can help some with immune, you need omega-3's, and then stuff like echinacea/goldenseal, astragalus and zinc can help with cold symptoms and allergies.
if you are normally fine, you only need the daily vitamin. but if you're like me and a run of not taking care of yourself caused your immune system to get screwy, you need preventative measures. That's why I recommended buying De-Cold and taking it daily.

also there's one I havent tried: Oregano oil. I might try it because even with my regime i still get little "allergy colds" (milder than regular colds and with no sore throat but still annoying). The 2 people I met who took it daily NEVER got sick and one of them ate junk food all day.
