Hello,

My Daughter is almost 13. She is in her second year at a new school. Her best friend from last year is not her friend this year. They had a falling out.

My daughter is really struggling now because she feels she doesn't have a real close friend. She tries to make new friends but often the new friends want to involve her into activities that would compromise her Christian values. So she is feeling very alone.

I was wondering if anyone knew of any devotional materials I can share with her that would help in this tough time. In my mind I know that figures like Elijah, Jeremiah, and Isaiah often had to go through hard times for choosing to follow God. This is also true of early Christians(although they had a community).

Any suggestions/ materials would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You

Sorry I am not aware of material that would help your daughter.
I can only suggest that you show her that you are there for her, supporting her and that you understand her pain.

All I can suggest is that you teach her how to explain Christianit, that it is based in historical facts, that it is not a Western religeon etc etc.
sites like coldcasechristianity and answersingenesis are useful for this.
