If you guessed King David, your correct.....
David, at his death at a ripe old age of 70, had everything his heart could wish. He was full of riches and honor, having gained more renown than any crowned head in history, either before his time and after. He was chosen by God as a little shepherd boy, anointed king and he was a man after God's own heart. (1 Sam 13:13-14)
God had plans for that little shepherd boy and God has even better plans for you and me, since we have a better covenant with God, with better promises than David ever had.
With all the things David had done bad and wrong in his life under the old covenant, how much more will God use us under a better covenant even with the bad things we have done.
God has sworn that he will not be mad at us, nor rebuke us. (Isa 54:9)
(ripe old age of 70) What! :o
Blessings.......
