Pink Floyd - say no more. :D I really love David Gilmour's voice - very smooth and velvety. I wasn't a big fan when the band first started - I wasn't really familiar with their work at all. It was my brother who first shared their music with me when their Pulse album was released. I bought the double tape back then and played it in my car so often that it's worn out now. But I was fortunate in that I found a dvd copy of Pulse, so I have that now. The lighting effects at that concert were pretty awesome too.

Disco became politically incorrect
Yeah - I really disliked disco. (still do) but I was drafted into a ad hoc band to play rhythm guitar at a fellow congregant's wedding reception. He liked disco so we had several disco tunes from the day. It was actually kinda fun to play.

I prefered FUNK.

What I liked mostly about the 70's was there was so much musicianship from the bands, unlike the canned computer type music we get today.

They sang, danced ,and played live! And they were amazing.

I liked Brick House too, Handmaid. :) My sons were trying to explain auto tuning to me the other day. There is a singer whose name I instantly forgot :p who uses auto tuning to give his voice what sounds to me like a brassy edge. I don't like it, but my lads do.
