This isa poem I wrote not long after my grandmother passed away on August 16, 2002...She was very special to me. I hope that it touches each of you.
Grandma
We all grieved as we gathered around,
the day you laid your armor down.
You won the war, you finished the race,
and now, you behold the savior's face.
The pain seemed more than I could bare,
But Heaven's so sweet now with you there.
So I'll finish my course and I'll run my race,
until I meet you in that place.
Up in Heaven we'll gather together,
we sing and stroll beside the river,
but life goes on for now you see;
But I'll be there too,Grandma, wait for me.
