The brain has desires just as the heart

If the heart is evil it would try to convince the brain to agree. If a heart has no desire as to what is good or bad, it would only choose the good as it relates to itself.

Poetic descriptions of a person's character are not a biological fact. A heart cannot be good or evil. It's not like a cartoon where an unassuming person getting a heart transplant from a murderer turns them into a murderer.

The heart does not think or feel or dictate morality. It's a pump. That's it.
