The same people complaining about election fraud with no evidence commiting actual election fraud for all to see, with a paper trail.
They must have felt pretty good about sweeping to victory. Almost like there was an unstoppable divine plan unfolding.

Lock her up!

Where have I heard that before? But this time they're actually trying to do it. The statement was rightly condemned when the unnamed one said it because it was all about political persecution typical of a banana republic. It's still about that.

? You're the first to mention "lock her up" in the context of this indictment.
(or is this an attempt to deflect?)

Here is a bit from John Eastman's memo that the false electors relied upon:

This is the piece that we believe is unconstitutional. It allows the two houses, “acting separately,” to decide the question, whereas the 12th Amendment provides only for a joint session. And if there is disagreement, under the Act the slate certified by the “executive” of the state is to be counted, regardless of the evidence that exists regarding the election, and regardless of whether there was ever fair review of what happened in the election, by judges and/or state legislatures.
Please note the part I emphasized.

This MAGA Republican openly advised members of his own party to disregard evidence and no fair review. Who here is committing lawfare?
I'm afraid that people are just retreating to the "vibes" they are being marinated in, rather than examining carefully what really went on.

Ah, so there is not a verdict yet.
For some, there has been. Ten confessed in Wisconsin:
The 10 fake electors agreed to send a statement to the government offices that received the Electoral College votes saying that their actions were “part of an attempt to improperly overturn the 2020 presidential election results.”

8 in Georgia:
ATLANTA — At least eight of Georgia’s "fake electors" have been granted immunity in the Fulton County district attorney's investigation into former President Donald Trump and his allies regarding alleged interference in the 2020 election, according to a new court filing.

More than a dozen individuals signed a certificate falsely declaring that Trump had won Georgia in the 2020 election and declared themselves Georgia's “duly elected and qualified” electors. Georgia has 16 electors in the Electoral College.

The eight unnamed individuals agreed to interviews with prosecutors, seven of which were completed between April 11 and April 14, according to the filing.

You made it sound like there had been one.
In those 2 states, 18 perps confessed.
We once had a belief that people were innocent until proven guilty.
That's why they copped plea deals. Consequences were looming. Trump has been accustomed to getting away with things in the past, but it looks like things are different now.

My bad for living in the past.
If you think it's tough on you, it's got to be killing Trump.

It’s just to show that the fever to charge and convict and imprison has migrated to the leftward party in a big way.

The difference being that Trump sought to have her changed (with what!?), convicted and imprisoned without cause while Biden has not, to my knowledge, had a hand in Trump’s troubles.

The difference is that the left leaning folks are actively engaged now in political prosecution while Trump talked about it but did nothing. I thought it was very banana republic of Trump to talk that way. But now we really are a banana republic. Thanks.

Should Democratic officials turn a blind eye when political rivals conspire to defraud the people of their state out of their Constitutionally protected voice (with regard to whom they chose as President)?

No, by insider accounts, he did actually try but it was so nakedly personal and political, his minions knew it wouldn't fly. The various branches of justice are doing their jobs, not like Trump's would be Banana Republic of which he would be dictator from day 1.

It seems so odd that in heavily Democratic jurisdictions (counties) that the elected prosecutors (DAs) are Democrats who then prosecute everything to shoplifting to murder and all of the election crimes in between. Hmmm.

You cannot be serious. In NYC, they aren't even requiring most of those arrested to post bail before being released. People are voting with their feet as they are moving away in droves from blue states and blue cities.

Oh, wait...
Still, it fails the “rhetoric/action” test.
”Lock her up” was a slogan, prosecuting “the other side” for “exercising their ‘freedom of speech’ (Trump won)”, will persuade many.

Please for to inform me just why this isn’t a “good thing”?

Yup, Texas is bright purple because of all people from NYC and Chicago and Los Angeles flooding in.

Yes. This was just incredble when I first read it:

Ted Cruz Stung by New Texas Poll

It's a healthy thing for America; liberals/moderates are a majority in America, but they were concentrated in a relatively few states, which put them at a disadvantage in electoral votes. Now, states like Virginia, Texas, North Carolina, and Georgia are getting lots of new voters who are altering the states politically.

This has nothing to do with your "political persecution" claim. It is absolutely true that the voters in Fulton and New York counties lean heavily to the Democratic party and so it isn't surprising that they elected a Democrat as DA. (Are you surprised that a Democrat was elected DA of Manhattan?) They are charged with prosecuting all of their local criminal activity, including Trump's.

Meanwhile, at the Arizona Republican Party meeting on Saturday:

A state lawmaker facing charges alleging he tried to help overturn the 2020 election was selected by fellow Arizona Republicans to a top position in the national party.

Along with 17 others, Sen. Jake Hoffman of Queen Creek was accused of nine felony counts in an indictment announced by Democratic Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes this week.

....
Liz Harris, who was expelled from the Arizona Legislature last year for lying about her role in disinformation given at a legislative hearing, was elected national GOP committeewoman, according to two people who attended and independently confirmed the information.

It looks like they still aren't listening to Americans. It's going to be a long, rough road for them.
