Why do you hold me to a higher moral standard than a leader...more importantly someone you admire?
Because you hang out here, which at the least makes you Christian adjacent if not Christian.
If Trump was here I would hold him to the same standards as you as far as conduct.
I do the mom thing with my hands on my hips like no other... I will scold anyone in my presence if they act up.
I don't know if I 'admire' Trump, perhaps I've just never thought like that.. which might surprise, but I have never liked Trump's famous person public personality. Never.
I wouldn't even have listened to the first speeches or posts that he made if it wasn't for the press losing their minds over him running.
I was partial to Ben Carson - our entire family was planning on voting for him in the primary. (I am not a Cruz person, he's fine in Congress though, I'm just not sure about the presidency). And I'm talking my sister's in law, their husbands, my husband and I etc.
He was our Christian faith choice candidate. He had the character we appreciate.
But he dropped out and the more we saw of Trump - which we were actually forced into due to media coverage of him so we constantly had to figure out what was actually said in full...
Which meant having to constantly listen to Trump in full.
And what I see in Trump as a political candidate isn't what I see in someone like Ben Carson, who I actually admire, but what I see in Trump is actually what I think was needed in 2016, and now, for the country.
Trump just makes sense... He wants the country to remain in a positive direction and path.
