Please stay on topic.
I always appreciate how selectively these "stay on topic" messages are - they don't seem to come out when, e.g. post 25 veers off course and uses a baseless accusation against Democrats to drag the thread off topic. But evidence starts to show up that accusation applies to the person being discussed in the thread? Off topic! Off topic!

Who to believe when one point of view is supported by actual data from legitimate research and another is supported by leading questions one might see on Fox News or OANN?
How does CNN and MSNBC, the rest of the liberals news sources describe Antifa as well as answer the questions which you responded to about those groups of people?

I view many of the policies and political agenda of the Democratic Party to be morally corrupt and very immoral.
I view the policies of Republican leaders who enable or agree with the immoral policies of the Democratic Party to also be morally corrupt.
Your analysis of myself is totally and completely incorrect.
Are there any policies of the Republican Party that you find to be immoral or are they perfectly righteous?

What policies GoldenBoy?

I honestly, don't think I've heard a policy from them in YEARS.

It’s been nothing but reactionary culture wars from the right for years but I’m curious to hear if there’s any position of theirs that our friends on the right could say they personally don’t care for or perhaps find immoral. I’m wondering if they’re as critical of themselves as they are of others.

Who is the "them" you are referring to?
Transgenders. I know that you are very intelligent and don't need a conservative to answer that question.

No political party is perfectly righteous. Politicians in all parties are susceptible to being influenced or corrupted by the hundreds of millions of dollars which lobbyists spend on the politicians. Far too often, Republican politicians, as well as Democratic politicians, immorally fund government programs which fail the people and actually fail in their stated purposes. However, instead of being honest about the failure of those policies, Republican politicians and Democratic politicians will often double down by telling the public that they need to spend zillions of more dollars to make those failed programs "work." In my opinion, this is immoral.

In my opinion, I believe that the following is also true:
If we can follow the money trail, if we look at how our government has meddled into the elections and internal affairs of both our nation's allies as well as our country's opponents, then I do see history that is very questionable at best or immoral at worst.

Why do you hold me to a higher moral standard than a leader...more importantly someone you admire?

Because you hang out here, which at the least makes you Christian adjacent if not Christian.

If Trump was here I would hold him to the same standards as you as far as conduct.

I do the mom thing with my hands on my hips like no other... I will scold anyone in my presence if they act up.

I don't know if I 'admire' Trump, perhaps I've just never thought like that.. which might surprise, but I have never liked Trump's famous person public personality. Never.

I wouldn't even have listened to the first speeches or posts that he made if it wasn't for the press losing their minds over him running.

I was partial to Ben Carson - our entire family was planning on voting for him in the primary. (I am not a Cruz person, he's fine in Congress though, I'm just not sure about the presidency). And I'm talking my sister's in law, their husbands, my husband and I etc.

He was our Christian faith choice candidate. He had the character we appreciate.

But he dropped out and the more we saw of Trump - which we were actually forced into due to media coverage of him so we constantly had to figure out what was actually said in full...

Which meant having to constantly listen to Trump in full.

And what I see in Trump as a political candidate isn't what I see in someone like Ben Carson, who I actually admire, but what I see in Trump is actually what I think was needed in 2016, and now, for the country.

Trump just makes sense... He wants the country to remain in a positive direction and path.

Funny, that doesn't seem to apply to the other party. For him it's "I'm electing a president, not a priest" and for anyone from the other party, you tout their morality as if that matters to running the country.

I don't care who Biden slept with either, not that it matters.

I care about policies, and yes, I have lately said what Biden is doing is outright evil - but that's over policies.

Why are you asking me? It has nothing to do with the thread nor my particular comment that your previous posts were sorely lacking any sort of evidence that might convince one to take their tired talking points seriously. This latest attempt doesn't do much to improve the situation.

Like many of the threads here, of course it went off topic. But the post which I had quoted talked about conservative news sources when comparing who to believe. My post had previously made comments about Antifa and BLM riots/protests. Therefore, I responded by asking how did CNN and MSNBC describe them.
I have No doubt that both sides of a debate hear "talking points " that doesn't do much to improve the situation.

Amen. I 100% agree.
I need to ask:
For DECADES Republicans were the "family values" party that did everything they could to avoid a person like Trump.

So.....

What changed?

And should this be an expected about face so that we would expect no Republican to ever again bring mention of marital infidelity of Democrats to the fore? Even as a president?

We still believe in traditional values. The Democratic Party has jumped away from that decades ago. In 2016, I voted for Ted Cruz over Donald Trump. However, even though I am not a huge fan of Trump's personal character, I do admire his ability to stand up and win against the Washington DC politicians and ruling establishment class in America and the rest of the world.
