And that is true , but they are BETTER because they are NEW as to me that is the CONTEXT of the NEW COVENANT as that is what the CONTEXT says !!
Read Jer 31:33 and Heb 10:16 , but the best one is Eze 36!!

Why not explain to all what the happens in the NEW COVENANT with 3 verses and here are just two of them , Jer 31:33 and Heb 10:16 !!

After He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God, from that time waiting till His enemies are made His footstool. For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are sanctified. Heb 10:12-17

The law is our teacher and our guide. But the law does not make us right, it makes us good. We have to have faith to be righteous.
Look at the women caught in Adulatory, perhaps it would be an act of mercy to stone her because she is going to expose herself to filth and disease living that sort of a life style. There are 30 or 40 different ventral diseases and some of them can cause cancer that could be fatal. Michael Douglas for example had throat cancer and almost died.

And in Heb 10:4 reads , For it is not POSSIBLE that the blood of Bulls and of Goats should TAKE away SIN .
And only the BLOOD shed on the Cross could take away Sin !!
And that was why the MOSICA LAW had to be set aside .

The law did not get set aside. Jesus said: "I tell you truly, until heaven and earth pass away, not a single jot, not a stroke of a pen, will disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished" Matthew 5:18
We can be good under the law and we benefit from being good. God loves us and God wants what is best for us. But to be RIGHT or righteous then you need faith in addition to being good. Paul quotes David in the book of Romans.
In the Bible we find allegory's, metaphors, Archtypes, Homileties, smybolism, paradigms, parables and so on. So we have to look at what the law represents to apply it to our lives.
Psalm 51 17 "The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and a contrite heart, O God, You will not despise."
1 Samuel 15:22
But Samuel declared: "Does the LORD delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obedience to His voice? Behold, obedience is better than sacrifice, and attentiveness is better than the fat of rams.
I have recently been in the hospital three times for 8 days each time. I am glad you think we can get away with sin but I can assure you there is a time when you will pay a price for your sin and it simply is not worth it.
We are set free from sin. WE are not set free from the consequences of sin.

I do stand by Heb 10:4 as under the LAW , ATONEMANT kept Israel's Sin covered , until Christ death on the Cross and when Jesus said it is FINISH in John 19:30 , Christ paid for ALL SINS and The Greek word IT IS FINISHED // TELO is in the Greek PRFECT TENSE means that all SINS have been Paid For , and is in the Greek PASSIVE VOICE , meaning Christ paid for all sins and is in the INDICATIVE MOOD , meaning you can take that to the BANK .

What was taken away were the laws associated
No one was ever saved under the terms of the old covenant. It provided only for righteousness by works, and so held no more hope of salvation for sinners before the cross than after. All (in the OT) who were saved before the cross were saved under the terms of the new covenant (including Adam & Eve). They were saved by faith (promise of Messiah to come), and not by the works of the law. Their law keeping grew out of their faith-righteousness, but did not produce it. Just so it must be with us, if we would be saved under the terms of the new covenant, which provides a way of life and righteousness through Christ.
The law that was nailed to the cross ... were those within the sanctuary system (not the 10), Jesus became our High Priest and He ministers from the sanctuary in heaven (the real one) ... the earthly sanctuary was temporary ... it's purpose was to show us how salvation would come through Christ ... it served as a pattern (example) ... a earthly sanctuary system is no longer needed.
The earthly sanctuary system was faulty ... because it is impossible for man to keep covenant with God ... Jesus was the only one who could and did ... He was the perfect and final sacrifice for all for all time.
When Jesus died at Calvary His blood was shed for all for all times (in place before creation) as the Lamb was slain before creation, the plan of salvation was fully in place before creation ... and was in effect at the creation of Adam & Eve.
Revelation 13:8

And all the inhabitants of the earth will fall down in adoration and pay him homage, everyone whose name has not been recorded in the Book of Life of the Lamb that was slain [in sacrifice] from the foundation of the world. Put in place before creation because of Gods foreknowledge.
All covenants for all times are fulfilled through Jesus alone ... and He offers salvation as a gift, lest we boast.
So thankful for Jesus !!!!! Amen !!!

The lamb was slain before the foundation of the world. God saw it as already had been done because He knew it would be done .... and Christ on Calvary is when we saw that it had been done.
The law that was set aside were the ceremonial laws associated with the earthly sanctuary system ... the earthly sanctuary was a "mini example" of the sanctuary in heaven (the real one) .... handwritings given to Moses on Mt Sinai, were placed outside the ark (as they would be done away with) verses the 10 (written by God Himself) which were placed inside the ark.
The New Testament teaches that the earthly sanctuary was a copy of the true tabernacle in heaven where Christ began to minister after His ascension (Hebrews 8:2, 5; 9:24). This demonstrates convincingly the existence of a literal heavenly sanctuary.
