Honestly, I think Trump is hoping to be incarcerated. He can then use that as "proof" he's being persecuted and this is a political witchhunt.
It's a total win-win situation for him. Either he gets to continue attacking the courts and the witnesses or he gets to cry persecution and bias.

...it's a win-win for his base.

The judge in Donald J. Trump’s hush-money trial said Tuesday that the former president can attend the high school graduation of his youngest son, Barron, in Florida next month.

For weeks, Mr. Trump had loudly complained outside the courtroom about the prospect of missing the ceremony on Friday, May 17, and had criticized the judge, Juan M. Merchan, for not immediately giving him permission to attend.

But on Monday, before testimony restarted in Mr. Trump’s criminal trial in Lower Manhattan, Judge Merchan announced that he could have the day off from court.

“I don’t think the May 17 date is a problem,” Judge Merchan said.

[...provided Trump behaves himself]

Has there been any reporting on how Oxbridge Academy has to foot the enormous security bill for this august moment?

What is the tax code violation? Sure Cohen lied and said he did legal work for Trump and paid taxes on this fake income, but handing money over to the government is not really tax fraud, Maybe Trump claimed it a legal expense when Trump paid his taxes, you could do that before 2018 as far as I can tell.

It appears it was just Michael Cohen cheating on his taxes for 5 years (counts 1 through 5). No particular Trump nexus. Similarly count 6 is some complicated bank fraud involving taxi medallions and what-not.

“My involvement with Donald Trump was limited to a few public appearances and nothing more,” read the Jan. 10, 2018, statement signed by [Stormy] Daniels. “Rumors that I received hush money from Donald Trump are completely false.”

Daniels’s attorney Keith Davidson said on the witness stand that he wrote the remarks at the behest of then-Trump lawyer Michael Cohen, who insisted on a “strong denial.”

“Did you understand at the time that you wrote this letter that Stormy Daniels had a sexual encounter with Donald Trump?” prosecutor Joshua Steinglass asked.

“That was my understanding,” Davidson said.

--

Witness Keith Davidson’s testimony may have helped prosecutors establish that there was an ongoing effort to suppress potential sex scandals for Donald Trump during his 2016 campaign for president and beyond.

Which, if anything, would violate the campaign finance laws by falsely stating the purpose of a payment to a vendor. If the law firm then falsified *their* records about the nature of that payment and did so in NY then they could have been charged potentially with the same crime as Trump. As far as I can tell from this example (which I have heard about before) the ones making the false entry were the Clinton campaign by misstating the purpose of payment.
He called it “consideration”, which can be a legal expense.

Trump Appears to Balk at Testifying in NY Hush Money Trial

Donald Trump seems to be hesitating about testifying in his criminal hush money trial, despite his earlier firm assertion that he would “absolutely” do so.

“Well I would if it’s necessary,” Trump answered.

Absolutely ---> if necessary ---> I'm not allowed to

Fact check: Trump falsely claims he’s not allowed to testify at hush money trial

After leaving the courtroom for the day, Trump told reporters, “I’m not allowed to testify. I’m under a gag order. I guess, right?” He added, “I’m not allowed to testify, because this judge, who’s totally conflicted, has me under an unconstitutional gag order.”

Possibly he's just confused about the difference between testifying in a trial and speaking to reporters.

1. Key witness Michael Cohen, a disbarred attorney and convicted perjurer, is making money trashing Trump. 2. Top prosecutor Matthew Colangelo deployed from the #3 office in the Biden Justice Department. 3. The judge’s daughter Loren Merchan has raised millions off this trial, unquestionably requiring his recusal under New York statute. 4. The Manhattan jury pool voted 87% for Biden. If Trump or even his campaign states any of these facts, Democrat Manhattan Judge Juan Merchan—who donated to Biden—has threatened to jail Trump.

So what. Trump is under a gag order because he doesn't know when to stop.

Judge Juan Manuel Merchan previoiusly requested the New York's Advisory Committee on Judicial Ethics to review his assignment to this case. They cleared him.

The figure " 93 million off the case" is just a flat out lie.

Also do you think there is much of a difference between the sentence

"Dem clients of daughter of NY judge in Trump hush-money trial raised $93M off the case"

and the sentence
"The judge’s daughter Loren Merchan has raised millions off this trial, unquestionably requiring his recusal under New York statute. "?

Loren Merchan is president of Authentic Campaigns, which has collected at least $70 million in payments from Democratic candidates and causes since she helped found the company in 2018, records show.

The firm’s past clients include President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris and Senate Majority PAC, a big-spending political committee affiliated with Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer. Senate Majority PAC has paid Authentic Campaigns $15.2 million, according to campaign finance disclosures.

Yes, so saying "70 million off the case" is a lie, unless of course the case started in 2018 and the ONLY thing Authentic campaigns used to raise money was the Trump case.

Personally I think there are good reasons for Biden to pardon Trump for the Hush money case
but I know you don't think the article is valid, you would not have a Problem if the judge had a daughter that worked had clients that raised money for Republicans for 6 years the briefly mentioned "Support trump he has been indicted" in a tiny fraction of their spam emails. I would not have a problem with it either.
