if anyone never repents of their sin it doesn't matter if they come back or not, they remain dead in their sin and their trespasses according to Scripture. (same as all of us, any of us, who don't repent = turn to Yhwh His Way to live His Life the Way He Says to).

if you tell someone adultery or prostitution is okay, and they love it, they will not be encouraged by you to repent of it, will they?(in many chruches and forums it(wrong-doing) is not just tolerated, but encouraged! )
if you tell them tattoos are okay, they won't be encouraged by you or your life to repent of them or to refrain from getting them, will they?
if God lets you get away with it, that's between you and Him. there's enough information online for you to find out why He forbids it, if you really want to know.

Do you believe that the command against tattoos was only for the Jews, or also for the Gentiles? If it is for the Gentiles, are you unable or unwilling to justify why this is so?

Scriptural basis for this misled statement please.

Don't you care to think that , if you talk to a guy about Christ, and he becomes a believer, telling him that his tats are a sin is a bit overdoing it? Basically an un-biblical ideology.
Would you even consider talking to someone with, let's say, sleeves about Christ? I don't know; I am not implying that you wouldn't.
What is the sin?

if you want to have eternal life, forgiveness of sins, and to be in union with God and Jesus and the Ekklesia, you will take the time it takes to find out why God forbids tattoos.
if you are opposed to God and Jesus and the Ekklesia,
nothing anyone says will help you.
I don't know which you are, nor if you will be the same tomorrow, and don't have at this time the time nor the inclination required to do the work you can do yourself if you really love the truth.
Perhaps I should be more understanding, or not. But Christians fallible as they were still used to know that God forbids tattoos and they would never even consider getting one if they were already saved. They also understood forgiveness for those who got them before they were saved, or who repented for them afterwards, just like if someone repented of adultery.

Don't ambiguously preach to me, or anyone else here. You insult my intelligence.
Are you saying that if you have a tat, or don't think it's a big deal, that those people are "opposed to God?"
Seriously, I gotta know.

Christian legalists used to say this stuff. Apparently they still do. I am sure it drove MANY from even giving God a chance.
Really?
Why are you still seeking btw? (faith icon) Seems you have found your niche. :)

To the Church in Laodicea

14 “To the angel of the church in Laodicea write:
These are the words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the ruler of God’s creation. 15 I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! 16 So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth. 17 You say, ‘I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’ But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked. 18 I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see.
19 Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent. 20 Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.
21 To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat down with my Father on his throne. 22 Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”

Great quote.

Now what does that have to do with tattoos?

Can't you answer questions without just throwing unrelated scripture at us?
God gave you a mind, and an opinion...use your own words.

IS a tattoo a sin or not? Yes or no.

I ask because I have heard bad arguments for forbidding tattoos to Gentile believers, and I reject them. These arguments conflate commands given to Jews for commands that were given to the whole world, all while ignoring Acts 15. The people who argue for them have such a poor understanding of the Old Testament and the New Testament that they claim tattoos are forbidden to all Christians while allowing for blended clothing and the consumption of bacon. If you want me to assume that your view meshes with that of these shamefully ignorant people, then I suppose you can continue to refuse to justify your stance with Scripture. I'm giving you a chance to show that you are better than they are.

My stance is that the command against tattoos is restricted to the Law of Moses, and therefore was always restricted to Jews. And that furthermore, Gentiles who come to know Jesus are not required to come under the Law of Moses, per the Spirit's revelation to the believers in Acts 15. Those who claim this passage is insufficient fail to consider that there is a subset of commands within the Law of Moses that were always for the whole world and simply repeated to the Jewish people within the Law of Moses (i.e. the command against murder, plainly demonstrated in Genesis 9:5-6). Murder is clearly forbidden to the nations and not just the Jews, but there is no passage to suggest the same of tattoos. If you know of such a passage, share it.

5 And have you completely forgotten this word of encouragement that addresses you as a father addresses his son? It says,
“My son, do not make light of the Lord’s discipline,
and do not lose heart when he rebukes you,
6 because the Lord disciplines the one he loves,
and he chastens everyone he accepts as his son.”[a]

(God never approved pork of any kind as food, old or new testament)

ALL men have sinned and the penalty for sin is death - no one is exempt. No one is 'better' than another in this regard.

If you want to tempt God by disfiguring what God's Word says is "His Temple", if you want to take the risk, that is your choice that you are 'free' to make, perhaps.

God only forbade it to Jews. Kosher was never required of the nations, Old or New Testament. If this is wrong, prove it Biblically.

for those who want to know the truth, and aren't trying to argue with Scripture but to realize it and God's Will in their life >>>
Can Believers in Messiah Wear Tattoos?

The Bible expressly commands believers to:

(1) Remain unspotted from the world:

James 1: 27 The religious observance that God the Father considers pure and faultless is this: to care for orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being contaminated by the world.

(2) Abstain from the appearance of evil:

1 Thess. 5: 22 ...but keep away from every form of evil.

(3) Friendship with the world is enmity with God....

James 4: 4 ....Don't you know that loving the world is hating God? Whoever chooses to be the world's friend makes himself God's enemy!

(4) Come out from among them and be separate from the world:

2 Cor. 6: 17 Therefore ADONAI says, "'Go out from their midst; separate yourselves; don't even touch what is unclean. Then I myself will receive you.

We therefore have the responsibility to obey YHWH's commands and abstain from worldly associations, pastimes, or habits - not just out of duty but because we love God and have a living relationship with Him.

John 14: 15 "If you love me, you will keep my commands...."

Body piercings and tattoos are "worldly" expressions, a fleshly vanity that is worldly. It shows one's heart and mind is elsewhere and not on YHWH.

1 John 2: Love not the world nor anything in it; for whoever loves the world has not the love of the Father in him. 16. For all that is in the world is the lust of the body and the lust of the eyes and the pride of the world, which are not from the Father but from the world itself.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 - Or don’t you know, that your body is the temple of the Ruach haKodesh who abides in you, whom you have received from Elohim? And you are not your own. For you are bought with a price. Therefore you glorify Elohim with your body, and with your spirit, which are Elohim’s.

1 Corinthians 3:16-17 - Do you not know that you are the temple of Elohim and that the Spirit of Elohim dwells in you? Whoever will deface the temple of Elohim, Elohim will deface him: for the temple of Elohim is Set Apart, which (temple) you are.

Doesn't 1 Corinthians 10:27 tell us we can eat anything we want, anything that is put in front of us?

Our Response....

No, it doesn't. YHWH (Yahweh) outlined for us in Leviticus what He considered "clean" and "unclean." How does eating at your unbelieving cousin Joe's house suddenly reverse that? How did the death of Yeshua reverse that? He was our final SIN sacrifice who - contrary to popular belief - NEVER negated His Father's Divine Instructions in Righteousness (Torah).

The answer is: It didn't. Yeshua Himself ate only kosher foods. You never see anything in the Bible that suggests otherwise. Let's take a look at "the short answer" from an excerpt from Welker's book, "Should Christians be Torah Observant?"....

"Unclean" animals/birds/fish are those that are carnivorous, those that are scavengers, those that eat roadkill and whatever they can scrounge, and those that eat dead things off the bottom of the ocean floor. YHWH wants His people to be "clean" from the inside-out, in thought, word and deed...Eating the "garbage disposals" of the world not only makes our insides filthy, but also serves to cause us to be disobedient to God! The bottom line is: God commanded us NOT to eat "unclean" things. (This Wikipedia article contains some valuable info concerning the "kosher" issue.)

YAHWEH never said pork, shellfish, etc. were food. People called these animals food in rebellion against God....

.... and they get sick dramatically and much more frequently when they rebel against God.....

even if they don't know it.

(i.e. if they obey God, they have much better health physically than if they disobey, even if they never heard of Him or His instructions).
