Was watching the POTUS give a speech at the vigil for Sandy Hook, and my sister noticed that he quoted 2 Corinthians 4:18. After posting a facebook status about him not citing where it was found, was pointed out by one of my friends that he apparantly said "Scripture tells us", so I rewound the TV to double-check, and whilst he DID say "Scripture tells us", he said it a little bit before actually quoting the verse. Does saying "Scripture tells us" cover you for however long until you quote the verse, or did he really commit plagiarism by not quoting the Word of God? Seriously curious
