my young teen has gone on all day trips for Speech & Debate Competitions

this month sending teen on first overnight trip for a teen Christian weekend

In my experience, it comes down to the chaperones. If the chaperones are solid, the youth event will be a wonderful experience. If not, it depends on the integrity of the youth. If you trust your chaperones enough to send him overnight, it should be fine.
