It seems like not only did the SD governor not write her autobiography, but she didn't read it either. We've mostly heard about the dog and goat slaughter, but the new errors, "starring down" Kim Jong Un, cancelled a meeting with Macron and got threatened by Ambassador Nikki Haley. Ai yi yi! She is blaming her ghost-writer and editor. SMH.

Gov. Kristi Noem’s camp is attempting to clarify the circumstances around two alleged interactions with foreign leaders that she writes about in her forthcoming book, “No Going Back.”

The veracity of those incidents — a canceled meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron and a meeting with North Korean Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un — have been disputed by Macron’s office, North Korea experts and former congressional staffers.​

Noem’s spokesperson, Ian Fury, seemed to concede that the Kim story was false Thursday night: “We’ve been made aware that the publisher will be addressing conflated world leaders’ names in the book before it is released.”
That’s not the only story in the memoir raising questions about its validity. Playbook obtained an excerpt from the Noem book that includes an unusual allegation about Haley — one that the former 2024 hopeful plainly denies....

“Nikki has long called and written notes supporting other women when they go through challenging times,” Denton said. “She called Governor Noem in 2020 to encourage her when she was criticized for keeping her state open during Covid. How she would twist that into a threat is just plain weird.”

...that qualifies her as Secretary of State in a 2nd Trump Administration. Imagine Trump and Noem fawning over their relationship with Kim Jong Un.

Sounds like an untrained dog behaving like a dog.

What we don’t know are the true circumstances. Dogs bites are usually a response to feeling threatened.

She is telling this story for some reason I can’t understand. Why voluntarily open yourself up to mostly negative criticism unless you are proud of this dog and goat killing? Tells me more than I ever needed to know about this woman.

Nobody, really. What is concerning is the casual lie. Why lie about a world leader in your autobiography, especially when it is so easily fact checked?

And, the dog needed to be put down if it was attempting to bite her and killing animals.

That would be more convincing if she hadn't declared how much she hated the poor animal and then, while she was at it anyway, to then shoot the old goat. If the story were about how she had worked with the puppy and regretted offing him, then it might have read as steely eyed pragmatism, but she killed the dog she hated. Perhaps the ghost writer should have written a more sympathetic story?
