Actually that is not the point. His testimony was the point. With the way this judge conducted this trial there were probably a lot of eye rolls he didn’t catch. The witness was constantly interrupted I guess because what he had to say did not follow the prosecution narrative.
We must be talking about different trials. Dignity is not an applicable word for this sham political hit job. Even a few honest leftists have acknowledged the misuse of the law here.
It's not the judge's job to object to witness testimony. That's the defense's job. And the judge did call them out for not doing that.
Actually from your own article judge Merchan did object to at least one portion of her testimony. So yes he can object. As far as it being his job to object, it his responsibility to maintain order and that includes shutting down irrelevant banter even if the defense does not object. IMO prosecution and judge went down this road to taint Trump before the jury. The defense may not have objected because of the absurdness and irrelevance of it to bolster a possible future appeal. The judge could have and should have shut it down. This is a sham trial with a corrupt judge.

They were in a restricted area, the police clearly told them to stop and warned them. I've said that several times about her. She'd been a member of the military and sworn her oath. That she then broke their oath with trying to stop a legal process of the state she'd sworn to defend and got killed in doing so is just. (Edit: Removing the Dante part from here. Are you serious ? There are no facts that point to any crime committed by Trump. This DA can't even name a crime he used as basis to make past statute of limitation misdemeanors a felony.

Actually I was referring for one to Allen Dershowitz who is a self proclaimed liberal who stands for the constitution and says this case has no basis in law. Yes I call that honesty because he puts the constitution over partisan politics. That is pure honesty!
