Why does the US undermine the rules based international order by supporting this criminal state?

Because we're a stupid country in a toxic relationship with the worst states the region has to offer (Israel and Saudi Arabia).

I'll admit I was being facetious. I don't put much stock in the ICC precisely because it is an international body which cannot enforce its own rulings. The irony for me is that the USA claims to adhere to the rules based international order and yet it will consistently act against such order if it's sovereignty is affected. Yet it will use such rhetoric against nations it doesn't like. It just shows the lie of the whole international community in the first place. It doesn't really exist. Rather what exists is competing powers who either successfully exert power over other powers or have power exerted against them.

The only body which can in any sense actually enforce law internationally is the UN Security Council.
Effectively this means that any of the members with veto powers (or their proxies/allies) cannot ever be punished for any breach of so called international law. The ICC exists solely for show trials of people who manage to be out of favour with all 5 permanent members o fthe UN Sec Council.
Keeping in mind that the UN was not founded as a world body but the WW2 winners club.

ICC as such does not have any police force. However, all member states are legally obligated to enforce the arrest. Which is almost the whole Europe, Canada, Australia, South and Central America, the half of Africa...

Such people are unable to even travel through the member states international airports (because they would be arrested).

There is no state of Palestine.

Palestinian statehood got a little bit closer recently -- the trouble, as you can read at the link, is that the 'right' countries (primarily the USA and its allies in Western Europe) need to recognize it for it to have a serious chance of occurring, and they've all drunk the Israeli Kool-Aid, wherein having a Palestinian state is an "existential threat to Israel" (as though the current situation isn't already being portrayed as that...), so they can't have a state unless it's through negotiations with Israel. Negotiations that Israel will not have under Netanyahu's leadership, because the right-wingers in control of the Israeli government are fundamentally opposed to a two-state solution in the first place (as they already were before the most recent conflict; this is a standard position of the government, not a response to current events).

Hamas rejects the two-state solution and it's been their argument that there is no state of Palestine and never has been.
Hamas controls the narrative here. What Hamas rejects is what Palestinians must also reject and of course, they reject the right
of Israel to exist.
