What's happened is that the progressive movement in this country, a Marxist movement, has spread racial division and hatred. The hard left has allied with radical Muslims (see the Squad) and a lot of people have followed. There is an oppressor and an oppressed in their ideology, where white Christians and Israel and police are portrayed as oppressors and our country portrayed as a nation built on racism. This is a wake-up call for Jews, and hopefully more Christians and Muslims and others who are good honest people, who believe in peace, to rethink their political alliances.

This is disturbing, how the Jews are being treated. Now, I am for peace between both Israel and Palestine, but I am neither pro-Israel nor pro-Palestine. Yes, Israel has done things wrong, such as build a wall around Palestine, but at the same time, Palestine has done wrong by letting Hamas run rampant.

Here is a summary of the article, for those who want to learn that we are still sadly living in 1940s Germany (well, thankfully not as extreme) in 2024:

The article by Breccan F. Thies, published on April 3, 2024, focuses on the increasing concerns of Jewish families regarding campus antisemitism and its impact on college decisions. According to a survey by Hillel International, a Jewish campus organization, 64% of prospective Jewish students have eliminated at least one college from consideration due to concerns about antisemitism and campus safety. The poll also indicated that 96% of surveyed students cited antisemitism as a factor, and 80% mentioned campus safety in their decision-making process.

Furthermore, 87% of parents of Jewish high schoolers reported that the rising antisemitism is influencing their college choices for their children. Hillel International recorded 1,215 antisemitic incidents since October 7, 2023, which represents a significant increase of approximately 700% compared to the same period the previous year.

The issue of campus antisemitism gained prominence following the resignations of two university presidents, Claudine Gay from Harvard University and Elizabeth Magill from the University of Pennsylvania. The resignations came after critics accused them of downplaying antisemitic incidents on their campuses during congressional testimony.

Additionally, the House Education and Workforce Committee launched multiple investigations into universities to scrutinize their responses to pro-Palestinian protests and other antisemitic incidents on campus. These events have contributed to the growing concern among Jewish families regarding the safety and inclusivity of college campuses for their students.

I wonder who would be attacking the Jews in America? Perhaps there are Americans who believe Jews shouldn't replace them?

Now they get a taste of what the Muslims thought a few years back. How times have changed....

Sad thing is considering most Jewish people in America are Americans and not Israeli's , they should not be held accountable for anything happening in Israel or what is happening to the Palestinian people.

These Jewish students in America are not killing anyone.
Hey, you're right. Maybe I should have made it a lot clearer for those who aren't smart enough to realise that the phrase 'Please, stop killing innocent people' referred to the Israeli government and not any given individual student on campus.

Especially since the article is about Jewish families rejecting schools.

Because people, including students who are demanding an end to the killing, are being classed as anti Semites. How is this not perfectly clear to you?

My government has been speaking with the Israelis over the latest deaths. https://www.reuters.com/world/middl...workers-systematically-car-by-car-2024-04-03/

'Australian, British and American citizens were among seven World Central Kitchen aid workers killed as it was leaving its Deir al-Balah warehouse.'

Aid workers, in an IDF controlled area, in clearly marked vehicles, all hit by three separate strikes. Good grief, man...is it anti Semitic to demand that this humanitarian tragedy and horrendous loss of innocent lives ends?

We all want an end to the killing. All can help by seeing that Hamas is completely defeated.

Blowing up humanitarian aid workers in three separate strikes in an IDF controlled zone really seems not to be focussed on that objective. I mean, you can't even put it down to the fog of war. At the very best it is criminal negligence of the worst sort. And you and others want to classify our calls for and end to this ('we all want an end to the killing') as anti semetism?

What a farce.

Thank you for presenting this. Israel needs to stop fighting. And Gaza's government needs to stop Hamas.

Here is a summary of the Reuter's article you linked:

The article by Jeff Mason, published on April 3, 2024, reports on the emotional interview given by celebrity chef Jose Andres to Reuters regarding the Israeli attack that killed seven of his food aid workers in Gaza. Andres, who is the founder of the World Central Kitchen (WCK) charity group, claimed that the Israeli military had targeted his aid workers systematically and deliberately, "car by car."

The incident occurred shortly after the unloading of 100 tons of food brought to Gaza by sea. Andres stated that the convoy was clearly marked with WCK's logo, making it easily identifiable. He demanded investigations into the incident by the U.S. government and the home countries of every aid worker that was killed.

Israel's military expressed "severe sorrow" over the incident, with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu calling it unintentional. Andres, however, disagreed and believed that there may have been more than three strikes against the convoy. He rejected Israeli and U.S. assertions that the strike was not deliberate, stating that no democratic country or military could intentionally target civilians and humanitarians.

Andres also criticized the U.S. for supplying aid to Gaza while simultaneously arming Israel, expressing confusion over America's role in the conflict. He personally questioned how Netanyahu could wage a war to save Israeli hostages when they may be dying under the rubble of the same weapons used against Palestinians.

Since October, at least 196 humanitarian workers have been killed in Gaza, and Hamas has previously accused Israel of targeting aid distribution sites. The attack on the WCK convoy resulted in the deaths of Australian, British, and American citizens.

Andres described how he learned of the attack, stating that his group lost contact with its team in Gaza before seeing images of the bodies. The convoy was attacked after the first armored car and managed to escape, only to be targeted again in the second and third cars, leading to the tragic loss of life.

The WCK had been moving food aid to starving people in northern Gaza through a maritime corridor from Cyprus, collaborating with Spanish charity Open Arms. The conflict between Israel and Hamas began after Hamas attacks on southern Israel in October 2023 that killed 1,200 people, according to Israeli figures, resulting in the devastation of much of the densely populated territory and displacement of most of its 2.3 million population. Over 32,000 Palestinians have been killed since then, according to the health ministry in Hamas-ruled Gaza.

Andres condemned the war as a whole and expressed his belief that humanity would ultimately prevail.
