Hundreds of thousands of Palestinians crammed into the small southern Gaza border city of Rafah are being forced to contemplate being displaced once more as an Israeli offensive looms.

Those who fled to the border city, almost half of Gaza’s 2.3 million people, face a terrifying choice: stay in overcrowded Rafah – once home to 280,000 people – and wait for the attack, or risk moving north through an area of continued fighting.


Large areas are occupied by tented encampments, which have encroached even on some of Rafah’s cemeteries. Aid officials have described the city as a “pressure cooker of despair”, warning that a full-scale Israeli offensive on an area so overcrowded could cause large-scale loss of civilian life, and could be a war crime.

I don't trust the UN. I don't know who would. Members helped with the attacks, and Hamas operations were from UN facilities in Gaza. You may as well just ask Hamas, not much difference.

Bodies of missing 6-year-old, paramedics found in north Gaza, aid group says​

The body of Hind Rajab, the 6-year-old missing for 12 days since losing touch with rescue workers desperately trying to save her after the family car was fired on in Gaza City, has been found, the Palestine Red Crescent Society said Saturday.

Rana Faqih, a PRCS worker who stayed on the phone with the child as she begged for hours to be rescued on Jan. 29, confirmed that she had been found dead. Hind had explained that she was the sole survivor in the vehicle after it was fired on by Israeli forces as the family tried to flee the Tel Hawa area of Gaza City. Her aunt, uncle and three cousins were all killed.

The ambulance dispatched to reach her was also found shelled on Saturday with the two paramedics inside also killed, the PCRS said. In a statement, it accused the Israeli military of directly targeting the ambulance crew as it tried to rescue the child. The route had been coordinated with Israeli authorities in advance, it said.

Hind’s cousin, 15-year-old Layan Hamadeh, made a desperate call for help to emergency services that was recorded by the PRCS and shared on social media. Audio of gunshots heard during the call revealed that Hamadeh was killed while making the call.

The paramedic on the phone tries to speak to her, repeatedly saying, “Hello? Hello?” but there is no response.

Alone, terrified and trapped in the car with the bodies of her relatives around her, Hind made a desperate call for help.

“Come take me. Will you come and take me? I’m so scared, please come!” Hind can be heard saying in a recording of the call to responders, released by the PRCS.

Hamas needs to be destroyed. This is all on Hamas and those that support and empower them.

Giant Hamas tunnel found under United Nations RWA’s Gaza headquarters​

During a meeting between U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Prime Minister Netanyahu in Jerusalem on Wednesday, the American diplomat was shown photos of a giant tunnel that was exposed in recent days underneath the central headquarters of UNRWA in the Gaza Strip. The meeting was attended by senior officials from both sides.

The Israeli leader showed Blinken proof of the misuse of the UNRWA headquarters’ underground premises for apparent terrorist tunneling purposes.
