Would Rick Renner like the Message Translation?

I dont know about him but I dont.
At first I found some neat verses. Then later it seemed to be saying ridiculous things that was not anything like the scriptures. They are 'way out there'; just too much liberty in my opinion. I'm used to KJV but use a few others also.

This is only a guess, but I doubt it. He is so in love with languages that this would not give the richness that he wants to impart to those he speaks to. If you subscribe at his website, his daily messages are really in depth. If you ever get to hear him in person, he is fascinating to listen to.

I'm reading a book by Rick Renner right now. Rick gave my entire graduating class a copy of "If you were God would you choose you" - very generous.
I don't know if he would like The Message or not.
Personally I like The Message for what it is - some of the phrasing is very good and has value some of it isn't. I wouldn't reccomend it as your 'main' Bible but it can be an asset.
