Playing video games is not sinful unless the game causes you to sin for another reason. As long as it's recreational and doesn't become an addiction, and doesn't prompt you to commit actual sin, I see no harm.

It very well could be, that game has sexual themes in it. I mean you can creat gay and lesbian characters who sleep in the bed with each other and you can watch them do explicit things to one another so I would say yes, it could be, depending on if you decide to act out with your characters in a sinful way.

Would playing sims 3 be a sin?

Do you have any idea just how many questions like this you will have in your lifetime?

Well let me give you the answer to all those questions.

You need GOD'S WORD working in your life. Read and reread the NEW TESTIMENT until the next time you read it you will already know what IT'S going to say. For then IT'S locked in your heart to draw from the rest of your life. You will never be sorry you did. This is GOD'S ROADMAP given to us so that we are able to walk up that path to the KINGDOM of ALMIGHTY GOD.

Then there are some very important BOOKS that are not stories that contain GOD'S RULES so that we can live to serve GOD and get the best out of life.

I wouldn't do what Robert said - but sims can slap each other for example, cheat on each other...

Are you trying to justify condemnations of others, keep a standard to yourself, or merely asking rhetorical questions? And if rhetorical, why? These are not challenging moral questions people generally have to deal with.

In RL we have to deal with challenging moral questions quite a bit.

Whether A, B, or C is true... it seems that you should listen to Hebrews: "Practice doing good to know the difference between good and evil".

Then such questions will not arise, and one does not feel the need to test others, either on such matters -- because they already understand them.

The only times where someone might need to test someone is when they do not have much content from a person, and wish to find out what they think. I think the answer, "We make moral judgments as we go" has been restated and restated here many, many times by many different posters in many different ways. All the same thing.

Thinking about this, here are some examples of questions I think someone should ask if they are really trying to put into practice the teachings of Jesus:

1. How does one love God 'with all one's heart, mind, and soul'?
2. How does one love one's neighbor as one's own self?
3. What did Jesus mean by "Do not judge"?
4. When Jesus said, "do not condemn and you will not be condemned" does that mean one can escape even the fires of Hell by this route?

With specific, workable, reasonable answers.

These sorts of questions are very rarely asked because people apparently see them as no visible benefit to themselves.

I hate to sound blunt, but it does disturb me to rarely ever see anyone discussing such things in a practical, working way that people can actually implement in their daily lives.

They seem much more bothered about how they are dressed or what rules to follow to find entry into Heaven and save themselves from social condemnation.

Child, be yourself. There is no reason to be someone else.

Do you want to say everyone who plays video games is sinning? Because you know the Bible says those who sin are of the Devil. Is that a shortcut you are looking for? An easy way to say who is saved and who is damned?
