Doesn't Revelations say something about "woe to the inhabitants of the earth for satan is cast down..."

Devil = full of wickedness, hate and evil, etc, etc..

earth = place God sent him because he couldn't stay in Heaven

child = devil wants to kill child and all offspring

people = living on earth where satan is mad and evil and wants to destroy us.

God = in mercy protects us from evil and such the devil throws on us.

death & sickness = back to scripture, God says "woe to the inhabitants...."

Are we caught in a battle between God & Satan?? I mean outside our salvation, is our time on earth spent in a warzone between the two? I know the supremeness of God, but based on scripture it seems satan does have power to wreck havoc on earth.

Timmy, I think most see your points to some degree. The issue is did Jesus set us free from the sufferings while we are still on earth. No question we are set free from all these things upon physical death.

Most see that as a sure guarantee without question. However, the debates on the board stem from that guarantee while we are set free from these 'woes' while we are still on earth. Or at least that is what I gathered in the last two years.

Yes! Or more accurately, we are God's instruments on this earth to humiliate Satan in our victory over him by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony!

The Bible is pretty clear on this. The fact is that the Lord has won the war already, but the enemy and his minions are still maintaining strongholds which we must bring down.

I know the supremeness of God, but based on scripture it seems satan does have power to wreck havoc on earth.
People given him power.... As partakers in the victory of Jesus Christ, we have authority to permit and forbid concerning the movements of the enemy in our spheres of influence. This authority trumps the power of the enemy. We just must not succomb to his devices of fear, discouragement, and deception.
