Why Won't God Bless Me?

Well, have you ever considered that you are wanting the singing voice for the wrong reasons? From what you have written on here it sounds like you want a gift from God for the purpose of being famous like those people you mentioned. You never mentioned how you planned to glorify God with such a voice, to be honest the only mention of God in your post was asking why he didn't do something for you.
It is written that if we are to follow Christ that we should pick up our cross and bear it with him. This means that even though we may want something we deny ourselves of it for God just as Christ did his life.
It is written seek first the kingdom of heaven and all else will be given unto you. This means that if you seek the will of God above all things that he will take care of the rest.
It is written that he who seeks to gain his life shall lose it and he who seeks to lose his life shall gain it. This means that if you live through this world seeking what you desire instead of what God desires then you will lose your life, but if you seek to give your life to God and his will you will gain it eternally.
I believe that the reason that God has not blessed you with such a gift is because he sees that you are not ready for such a thing, you are more concerned with the things of this world than the things of heaven. He loves you enough to keep you from falling into the hole that lady gaga and so many others have fallen into. Because he knows your heart and what is best he has chosen not to give this gift to you.
This is my opinion of course. My advice is spend more time praying for what he wants you to do in this world.

Maybe there is someone in your church or vicinity who will provide voice lessons specifically for you. I'll never regret voice lessons.

What does that exactly mean? I have a hard time discovering the meaning of the scriptures.
Pursue God with a passion. Make Him first and foremost in your life, the center of everything you do. Find out what pleases Him and do what will make Him happy. Stay away from things that will make Him sad. Keep chasing Him and obey His wishes patiently. He'll eventually reveal Himself and give you life.

Your post reminds me of a pastor I once had. He wanted to sing so badly, but had (according to him) a "horrible" singing voice and just lip-synced during times where the congregation was worshipping in song. None of his prayers for a better singing voice had any effect, but could he preach well! His sermons became so good that the tapes of the Sunday services were spread anywhere and the church filled up to capacity. He totally enjoyed fellowship with all the new people and passionately threw himself into the tasks that God gave him and the talents that he was given until the day he died. He could be singing in heaven's choirs today.
As for you, I guess you must have other talents, some of what you have not even discovered yet. I pray that as you sincerely search for God and His will in your life, you will be able to determine what gifts you do have that can be used to help others, fulfil God's calling for your life and delight all those around you.

I agree with Skills. Don't overlook the other ways God has blessed you. I can't sing a tune if my life depended on it, but there are other things I can do. And every chance I get, when I am alone in my car, I close the windows, crank up the praise music and sing my joyful noise (for that is what it is, noise) to the Lord, knowing that my noise is perfect music to his ears simply because it flows from the depths of my soul. God "plants the desire to sing (make music)" in everyone, to varying degrees. Even if you can't sing well enough to be a big time star, use this God-given desire to make music to HIS ears.

I dont know maybe He's blessing you in other areas you cant see.
Its very sad to see gifted people misuse their gifts. Maybe He doesnt want you snapped up by the money hungry music industry.
I wonder why God didnt give me good eyesight when people who dont need to wear glasses and are seemingly blessed with this just have it easier. But I suppose He doesnt want me to see every detail for a reason.

Dear prestongould. In Matthew 22: 35-40: Jesus told us: " The first and great Commandment is Love God with all thy heart, with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. The second is like it: love thy neighbour as thyself." Verse 40: tells us:
" on these two Commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets." God is Love, and God wants loving sons and daughters. In Matthew 7: 7-10: we are told: " ask and you shall receive, " ask God for Love and Joy, then thank God
and share all love and joy with your neighbour. Keep asking and receiving, then thank God and share all love and joy with your neighbour: all you know and all you meet, friends and not friend.
The Bible tells us to " Repent and be Born again," change from being selfish and unloving to loving and caring.
God will see our loving efforts, and God will bless us. Keep Loving God and your neighbour, and keep praying and asking. The Holy Spirit will help and guide you, and Jesus our Saviour will lead you all the way: JESUS IS THE WAY.

Well maybe the desire is not from God but its your own desire. Sometimes people mix the two up. Now of course I could be wrong. But I know from my past I often would think a desire I had was from God. I'd forget as a human in a world where sin exists, I have my own desires. You may not like it but it may be true that maybe its not Gods desire for you. Though if you want see where you are a few years from now after singing lessons and so on. No one becomes a famous singer overnight.
Another thing I learned is try not to plan ahead of how you want your life to turn out. Its good to have goals of course but we must remember God is in control. Like don't say "I'm going to graduate top honors at 18, meet a muscle bound man with blue eyes who loves romance movies. Go to college for a few years and graduate then start my own buisness. Then get married inbetween and have 3 kids, a new perfect house with 2 cars and a dog!".

When I first became a Christian, the church I joined had a priest that had a marvelous voice & he was great at pipe organ too. I thought this was how priests are supposed to be. .. yet I felt God's calling on my heart. I was discouraged in my tone-deaf no rhythm self. Then the bishop came. .. and he croaked the sung mass like a wounded drunkard! It was grating and off key in ways even my ear could hear. In that moment. .. . freedom. Freedom! If a bishop could sound like that, surely a priest wannabe could, surely a missionary could, surely . . . and a new chapter in my walk with God happened & it was a good chapter. Two chapters latter He blessed me with rhythm and the ability to engineer sound. God is good.
Maybe what you see as a curse to you will lift others. It had to take courage and commitment for that bishop to get up there knowing he sounds the way he does & if he didn't just because he sounds awful. . .. I would have always been afraid to step up, because my priest was SO musical. You can inspire if your heart is right towards God like my Bishop's, even if your voice is as bad as his. .. which would be hard, without being a donkey or guinea hen.. . . not to be unkind, but . . . the level of badness was truly liberating, because he did it for the Glory of the Lord & his heart resonated where his voice clearly did not.
